cult.fit Got Everyone Dancing For a Cause

March 13, 2020 | Bengaluru:  cult.fit India’s largest and most happening chain of premium fitness centres offering a variety of group workouts such as Boxing, Yoga, HRX and Dance Fitness Classes, announced a session on ‘Dance Fitness for A Cause’, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Dance Fitness for A Cause

Who hasn’t gotten carried away with the Moonwalk, the Macarena or some thrilling Bollywood numbers- not only does it feel good right down to the soul, dancing also has some intense health perks. cult.fit has always believed in getting your groove on with perks like getting fit and staying fit! This International Women’s Day, all Dance Fitness classes at cult.fit were renamed Dance Fitness for A Cause, where every class booked by members and non-members was absolutely FREE OF COST. For every member who attended the class, cure.fit donated Rs. 30 to Project Baala – an NGO that helps out young women with their sanitation and education needs.

All proceeds were donated for the benefits of the underprivileged young women who are part of this program.

Attending the classes, the fitness community ended up amassing amounts that can give young women in need a total of 60,792 months of eco-friendly sanitary pads, a whopping 1,67,178 days of school and also meaning this would keep a massive 37,995 kilos of plastic waste from being generated.

Speaking more about the initiative, cure.fit co-founder Ankit Nagori said, “We were always confident of the growth and popularity of dance fitness in India. It’s a true testament to the passion of our customers and trainers and we were thrilled to be able to honor that passion with this huge initiative. We’re very proud of our fantastic fitness community who came together in large numbers at our cult.fit centres across the country for this noble cause.”

Soumya Dabriwal, Founder, Baala said, “Baala, which means young girl in Hindi is an impact-oriented, youth led organization committed to making menstruation a non-issue in India which aims to tackle the main problem about female menstrual hygiene such as the expense of modern sanitary products, problem of disposal, complete lack of awareness and information and the social taboos surrounding menstruation. We thank every member and trainer at Cult and the management at cure.fit for getting people to groove, get fit and help in donating all at the same time! “
