New Delhi | 23rd April 2020: In the wake of the nationwide lockdown, India’s top edutainment platform SP Robotic Works has registered over 1 lakh new users after recently  announcing the launch of its Android and A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) online courses for students of the 10+ age group.

SP Robotic Works has emerged as a domain leader on the back of its unique array of robotics education segment with various courses in drones, robotics, IOT, and Virtual Reality (VR) for students across different age groups starting from age 7. These courses have already found traction amid the Indian youth, with more than 1 lakh students having enrolled for them across 81 SP Robotics Maker Labs across the country. The number of users registered on the platform has doubled during the lockdown.

The teaching is done using the proprietary online platform where concepts are taught using animation videos and real world examples. Moreover, it also ensures the delivery of 1:1 personalized guidance on the back of a faculty of tech experts available from 10 am to 8 pm to help students quench their queries and doubts.

“Both the Android and the A.I. courses have been specially developed for ages 10 and beyond to understand the basics of coding through fun activities. Every concept is taught using real world examples. For example, how will you build an app to help your dad find the car key? Then the child will be guided to logically think of a solution and implement the GPS app with coding. Every problem is interesting to solve with facial recognition and more. This not only improves the coding skills but also the problem-solving skills and creativity, which are highly important skills to be toned at the right age. We are very happy to see the children spend time usefully during the lockdown and the feedback from parents has been amazing,” Mrs Sneha Priya, CEO, SP Robotic Works said.

Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman, 5F World and former-CEO, APTECH commented, “The offerings by SP Robotics combine fun with learning, which is an ideal mix for today’s smart school-going kids. Robotics and AI will dominate the future and children going through these courses will emerge as the winners. “

“Though all of our Maker Labs (81 branches across 30 cities) have been shut down temporarily due to the lockdown, we are happy that we could continue to engage our old students through the online platform. There are even free live classes organized for students who signed up for summer camp at our centres previously,” Ms Aarthi, Maker Lab Division – Head added.

Both Android and A.I. courses are currently being offered for a free trial. After knowing the child’s interest, parents can proceed to purchase the entire course which is offered at more than 50% discount during the lockdown. Companies like Cognizant and many more are offering these courses to their employee’s kids at additional corporate discounts.

Having received great interest in “MAKE AND LEARN” model, the company is also planning to release courses to teach curriculum-focussed subjects including Math and Science with fun experiments. This will be launched both online and offline to enable students to learn their school subjects while having an equivalent dose of fun.
