Kolkata, 15th September 2020: Keeping up the spirit of supporting their alumni, IIM Calcutta is happy to showcase yet another achievement from their former student Sanchit Garg, founder of Green Cure.

Sanchit was a student of the 53rd batch of the flagship MBA program at Joka. He co-founded Green Cure with Sanjeev Dadhich, a Six Sigma Black Belt-certified professional.

Green Cure envisions creating a global brand in herbal over the counter (OTC) products which stand for high efficacy and safety standards. Its products are created by a team of German scientists and Ayurveda experts who blend western technology with Indian wisdom of Ayurveda to develop proprietary solutions for chronic ailments.

Founded in 2015, Green Cure manufactures an array of products in segments such as Lung care, Muscular pain relief, Skin Care, Baby and Infant Care and Beauty and Personal Care. They also got recognition for launching India’s first lung care syrup‘ BronchiCureas well as India’s first internationally certified pain relief cream ‘ Arnicap. Green Cure Wellness’ products are free from EDTA, Paraben, PEGs, PPGs, Mineral Oils and Paraffin. Green Cure has already applied for 13 patents for its formulations. The company is also certified Made Safe by Safe Cosmetics Australia and recognized by Namo Gange for outstanding achievement in the field of AYUSH (Ayurvedic, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy)

The wellness startup intends to bridge the gap between the often-hesitant approach toward Ayurveda and obsession with everything unadulterated by bringing you the carefully devised Ayurvedic compositions and infusing it with the latest German technology. In the times of Covid19, Green Cure is a step ahead in the direction of holistic healing.

Venture Catalysts, a start-up incubator and accelerator platform, has invested an undisclosed amount in Green Cure.  Speaking on the investment IIM alumni Sanchit Garg, Director, Green Cure commented, “The COVID-19 pandemic has made the world shift its focus towards herbal products that can address chronic health ailments. Built on the ancient science of Ayurveda, Green Cure aims to promote the concept of holistic living among Indians. Leveraging German Technology along with India Ayurveda has created a strong differentiation in a sea of ayurvedic brands. The latest funding gives us more firepower to ramp up our operations and foray into new product categories.”

Celebrating this success, Prof Anju Seth, Director ‐ IIM Calcutta said ‐ “ I would like to congratulate Sanchit and his partner in setting up Green Cure and the funding they received due to their keen entrepreneurship vision. At IIM Calcutta we always encourage our students to create an impact and through this start-up, Green Cure has developed solutions to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in their own unique way. I wish him the best in his entrepreneurial journey and we hope that the robust innovative environment at Joka motivates our present batches to work towards finding solutions and make their alma mater proud always. “
