AVPL and UPL SAS aim to create opportunities for 50,000 Agri entrepreneurs in India

1st March 2023, New Delhi: AITMC Ventures Private Limited (AVPL), a major training partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) across India, has teamed up with UPL SAS, a leading sustainable agriculture solution provider.

UPL SAS and AVPL will work together to develop the skills of 50,000 rural agriculture entrepreneurs. AVPL will provide training in 50 state-of-the-art facilities across India on topics such as good agricultural practices, drone and boom sprayer operations, and soil testing. UPL SAS will act as a knowledge partner, helping AVPL and skill development bodies like NSDC develop training modules and conduct training of trainers (ToTs) to make the training programs more impactful and relevant.

The trained candidates will be encouraged to start their own agri input stores, crop advisory centers, and modern custom hiring centers, among other ventures. These will provide the farming community with access to quality agri input products and farm mechanization services, leading to increased crop productivity and farmer income.

Ashish Dobhal, India Region Director at UPL SAS, said “We are very happy to join hands with AVPL, our engagement will lead to make Indian agriculture more sustainable and resilient by building capacities of aspiring rural agriculture entrepreneurs, who will further help farming communities to address their farming challenges”

Deep Sisai, Director at AVPL, expressed his enthusiasm on the collaboration and said “It is a great opportunity for us for developing skills in field of agriculture under the mentorship of UPL SAS experts”. We are starting this initiative from Haryana where we will train and develop 14000 Rural Entrepreneurs in next 2 years being the Training partner with Haryana Skill Development Mission. The same initiatives will be started in MP, Gujarat and Jharkhand in next few Months.

Tushar Trivedi, Business Head – Retail & New Business Division at UPL SAS, also expressed his views “In India still majority of population is dependent on agriculture, and it is huge dearth of trained manpower who can contribute to making agriculture more profitable”, he further added “I am very confident that our collaboration with AVPL will help in developing skill in agriculture sector”.
