Bangalore, 11th June 2024 – AVPL International, a leading homegrown drone company, has joined forces with the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), marking a pivotal step in advancing drone technology for global agriculture. This collaboration, cemented by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to develop state-of-the-art drones equipped with advanced technology to address challenges faced by large-scale landholders in India, Australia, Austria, and various European nations. By leveraging the expertise of IIT Kanpur’s Department of Electrical Engineering, these drones will expand the horizons of drone applications in agriculture and beyond.
The MoU underscores a shared vision between IIT Kanpur and AVPL International to utilize drone technology for agricultural applications, tackling issues such as seed broadcasting and agrochemical spraying. Key stakeholders, including Prof. Amrendra K Singh, Prof. Tarun Gupta, and Prof. Ketan Rajawat from IIT Kanpur, along with Preet Sandhuu, Founder and Chairman, and Mr. Himanshu Sharma, CEO of AVPL International, were present at the signing ceremony. Dr. Piyashee Mallik and Ms. Reema Mittal served as witnesses.

AVPL International will also be allocated a dedicated space within Techno Park, IIT Kanpur, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and collaboration.
