Hanoi, Vietnam | 22nd August 2025: Vingroup has been honored with the First-Class Labor Order for its exceptional achievement in developing the National Exhibition Fair Center in Hanoi. The prestigious recognition highlights the Group’s determination and breakthrough efforts in completing the landmark project 15 months ahead of schedule, coinciding with the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
A National Milestone Celebrating Vietnam’s 80th Independence Day
The award ceremony took place during the Inauguration and Groundbreaking Ceremony of National Projects, commemorating Vietnam’s 80th National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025) at the Tu Lien Bridge area, Dong Anh District, Hanoi.
The National Exhibition Fair Center is a state-level priority project and ranks among the top 10 largest exhibition centers in the world. Spanning 900,000 square meters, it is set to become an international hub for global trade fairs, exhibitions, and major cultural, political, and economic events—cementing its status as a new symbol of Hanoi’s rapid development.
Record-Breaking Construction Timeline
Construction began on August 30, 2024, and the site was handed over on June 27, 2025—just 10 months of construction, marking a national record. Despite the scale and complexity of the project, Vingroup successfully built a massive steel dome structure of unprecedented engineering difficulty.
As both investor and general contractor, Vingroup demonstrated extraordinary capacity in:
- Designing and implementing advanced construction plans
- Coordinating thousands of workers, engineers, and contractors
- Managing a seamless supply chain for equipment and materials
- Operating round-the-clock in three shifts to cut project time by 60%
At its peak, the project mobilized 3,000 workers and engineers, supported by 800–1,000 pieces of heavy machinery, including cranes with capacities of 300–500 tons.

Kim Quy Exhibition Hall – A New Wonder of Hanoi
At the heart of the center is the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall, one of the largest circular exhibition halls in the world, covering 130,000 square meters with a central height of 56 meters.
Inspired by the legendary Golden Turtle God (Kim Quy) of Co Loa, the hall features a 24,000-ton steel dome, assembled using specialized high-strength engineering methods. Its translucent, energy-efficient fiberglass roof meets global green building standards, making it both innovative and sustainable.
A Comprehensive Exhibition Ecosystem
Beyond the Kim Quy Hall, the complex includes:
- Four outdoor plazas (East, West, South, North)
- The VinPalace International Convention Center
- Landscaped green parks and lakes
- Large-scale parking facilities
With the ability to host hundreds of thousands of attendees outdoors and thousands indoors, the center is designed for mega exhibitions, concerts, festivals, and international MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) events.
Showcasing National Pride: 80 Years of Independence
The National Achievements Exhibition – 80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness will be the first major event at the venue, held from August 28 to September 5, 2025. The exhibition will gather all provinces, ministries, and enterprises across Vietnam, expecting millions of visitors.
Vingroup’s Commitment to Vietnam’s Future
Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and CEO of Vingroup, stated:
“Receiving the First-Class Labor Order at the inauguration of the National Exhibition Fair Center is a profound honor for Vingroup. We will continue to uphold our spirit of determination to make Hanoi and Vietnam top destinations for world-class events.”
