National, August 25, 2025 — WizCommerce, the AI-native platform transforming how wholesale distributors and manufacturers operate, today announced it has raised $8 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India), with participation from Blume Ventures, Z47, and Alpha Wave.

The funding will accelerate WizCommerce’s expansion across North America while advancing its AI-powered product suite that’s already processing over $100 million in annual GMV across a network of 700+ sales representatives and 300,000+ buyers.

Breaking Through Decades of Outdated Systems

The wholesale industry—worth $10 trillion in the U.S. alone—has remained largely untouched by modern technology, still relying heavily on spreadsheets, legacy systems, and manual processes. WizCommerce is changing that equation entirely.

Founded in 2021 by Forbes 30 Under 30 honorees Divyaanshu Makkar (ex-Bessemer, ex-EY-Parthenon) and Vikas Garg (ex-Zomato), both IIT alumni with deep operational experience, WizCommerce has built the first truly comprehensive AI-driven platform for B2B commerce. The platform handles everything from intelligent quoting and trade show order management to embedded payments, ERP/CRM integration, and dynamic eCommerce storefronts.

“The age of spreadsheets in wholesale is ending,” said Divyaanshu Makkar, CEO and co-founder. “We’re building the modern infrastructure this massive industry has needed for decades. Our AI handles the repetitive work—quoting, cataloging, order routing—so sales reps can focus on what they do best: selling.”

AI That Actually Works in the Real World

What sets WizCommerce apart is how its AI modules integrate seamlessly into existing wholesale workflows. The platform’s WizAI recommendation engine personalizes product suggestions for buyers, while WizStudio automatically generates high-quality lifestyle imagery for catalogs and e-commerce. The result? Wholesale businesses across home dĂ©cor, lighting, apparel, and general merchandise are seeing dramatic improvements in efficiency and sales conversion.

“WizCommerce is that rare platform that gets praised by both sides of the transaction,” noted Rishen Kapoor from Peak XV Partners. “Sales reps tell us it’s the first tool they open each morning. Buyers love the streamlined ordering experience and personalized recommendations. In an industry that traditionally moves slowly, their rapid adoption speaks volumes.”

Strong Market Validation Drives Expansion

The company’s momentum has been remarkable. Since launch, WizCommerce has grown to serve over 500 customers internationally, with operations spanning North America, India, and the Middle East. The platform now facilitates transactions for more than 700 sales representatives serving over 300,000 buyers.

“The WizCommerce team combines deep customer empathy with a rapid execution mindset,” said Sajith Pai from Blume Ventures. “Their AI modules are becoming essential infrastructure for wholesale operations, and the adoption rates we’re seeing validate their product-market fit.”

What’s Next

With the new funding, WizCommerce is aggressively expanding its engineering, AI, product management, and go-to-market teams across its U.S. and India offices. The company plans to extend its AI-powered automation from front-office functions (sales, commerce, payments) deeper into back-office operations including inventory management, financial reporting, and business intelligence.

The platform will also expand into adjacent verticals while strengthening its position in existing markets, continuing its mission to bring modern, intelligent automation to the world’s largest B2B commerce ecosystem.
