Bengaluru, 21 November 2025 – Sophrosyne Technologies, a Bengaluru-based deep-tech semiconductor startup, has secured $2 million in seed funding from Bluehill.VC. The investment will accelerate Sophrosyne’s transition from prototype silicon to production-grade development, expand its silicon design and firmware capabilities, and support early customer deployments in India and international markets.
The company is pioneering a multi-vital biosensing System-on-Chip (SoC) that consolidates ECG, PPG, respiration, temperature, and related signals into a single ultra-low power architecture. This innovation enables wearable and digital health devices to deliver continuous, high-precision monitoring at scale, while reducing energy consumption and silicon footprint.
Sophrosyne recently cleared technical diligence and was awarded a MeitY DLI grant of $1.2M, validating the robustness of its engineering approach.
“Wearable health is entering a new phase where accuracy and continuous monitoring are becoming standard expectations,” said Sridhar Parthasarathi, Managing Partner, Bluehill.VC. “Sophrosyne is among the few teams capable of delivering semiconductor-level innovation that addresses performance, efficiency, and integration challenges faced by device makers. We are proud to support their journey.”
“Bluehill.VC’s investment comes at a defining moment for us,” said Dr. Manish Srivastava, Co-founder & CEO, Sophrosyne Technologies. “We are moving toward production-grade silicon and early OEM rollouts. Beyond capital, Bluehill.VC brings discipline, clarity, and access to world-class semiconductor expertise, helping us scale globally.”
The global wearable health market is rapidly evolving, with demand for continuous, reliable monitoring driving innovation at the semiconductor level. Sophrosyne’s integrated biosensing SoC positions India as a contributor to next-generation health technology, combining analog signal acquisition, power management, and software support into one unified platform.
