  • Initiative aligned with sustainable agriculture and rural livelihood empowerment.

Mumbai, 25 November 2025Wavar, one of India’s fastest-growing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) companies, has partnered with Renovate India to launch the Samruddha Shetkari Prakalp, a large-scale initiative aimed at improving farmer profitability, enhancing soil health, and promoting long-term agricultural sustainability across Maharashtra.

The program was formally unveiled at an orientation and MoU-signing event in Pune, attended by Wavar’s leadership team, Renovate India’s CSR PDMS team, and 59 NGO leaders from across the state.

Addressing Agricultural Challenges
Maharashtra remains central to India’s agricultural transformation, yet farmers continue to face challenges such as rising input costs, chemical dependency, and declining soil fertility. The Samruddha Shetkari Prakalp seeks to address these issues by enabling adoption of science-backed IPM practices, community-led farming support, and technology-enabled interventions delivered through grassroots NGOs.

“Farmer prosperity depends on three fundamentals—lower input costs, healthier soil, and access to practical technologies,” said Joy Chakraborty, Co-founder, Wavar. “Through this partnership, we can reach thousands of farmers in Maharashtra, helping them reduce chemical dependency, improve profitability, and move toward truly sustainable agriculture.”

Role of Renovate India
Renovate India, known for its work in strengthening rural communities, will mobilize NGOs, train local teams, and ensure on-ground implementation at scale.

“Our focus is on capacity building and driving measurable livelihood outcomes,” said Sunny Pawar, Managing Director, Renovate India.
Alok Kadam, Co-founder, Renovate India, emphasized the importance of financial sustainability and community-first engagement for participating NGOs.

With over 50 MoUs signed during the Pune event, the initiative is set to expand rapidly across multiple districts, focusing on farmer training, IPM deployment, soil-health improvement, and village-level entrepreneurship models.

“Maharashtra’s farmers have always shown openness to innovation. With the right tools and guidance, the impact is immediate,” added Sanjay Shirodkar, Co-founder, Wavar.

Building a Resilient Ecosystem
The partnership combines Wavar’s expertise in IPM with Renovate India’s grassroots presence to build a resilient, future-ready ecosystem for farmers. The Samruddha Shetkari Prakalp marks a significant step toward strengthening Maharashtra’s rural economy through sustainable, low-residue, and profitable agriculture.
