Paracoat Products Launches Agro-Waste Reinforced Polypropylene Composite at Plast India Expo 2026

New Delhi, Delhi, India | 6th February 2026: Paracoat Products Limited, a pioneer in NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) solutions, is set to create a strong impact at Plast India Expo 2026, scheduled from February 5 to 10, with the launch of its latest innovation — agro-material reinforced polypropylene composite masterbatch granules. This breakthrough product reflects Paracoat’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing and positions the company as a leader in eco-efficient material solutions for the automotive and industrial sectors.

Plastic waste has become one of the most critical global environmental challenges, with India emerging as a major contributor. The country currently generates approximately 9.3 million tonnes of plastic waste annually, accounting for nearly 20 percent of global plastic pollution. This growing burden threatens ecosystems, intensifies air and water pollution, and places immense pressure on India’s waste management infrastructure and climate commitments.

Paracoat addresses this challenge through its newly developed composite granules made from agricultural waste derived from jute, bamboo, wheat, and rice cultivation. These agro-based fillers enable up to 50 percent reduction in plastic consumption, transforming agricultural residues into valuable raw materials. The innovation directly supports two critical sustainability goals: lowering dependence on fossil fuels and preventing the burning of crop residues, a key cause of severe air pollution in India.

The agro-material reinforced composite delivers 24 percent lower CO₂ emissions compared to virgin plastic, aligning with India’s climate action roadmap and long-term industrial decarbonisation goals. Designed for seamless compatibility with injection moulding and extrusion processes, the granules integrate easily into existing polymer systems. Manufacturers can adjust bio-filler loading levels while maintaining high mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and production efficiency.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Rajesh Poddar, CEO, Paracoat Products Limited, said:
At Paracoat Products, we believe the future of plastics must balance ecological responsibility with technological innovation. By using agricultural residues as bio-fillers in thermoplastic composites, we are setting new benchmarks for sustainable manufacturing. This initiative reduces carbon emissions while supporting India’s circular economy vision and addressing air pollution caused by burning agro-waste.

Paracoat is already incorporating this sustainable material into its own product portfolio, including parcel shelves, door trims, cladding covers, and other automotive and industrial components. By embedding agro-material composites into its production processes, the company demonstrates how Indian manufacturers can actively support the government’s ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ policy framework while driving innovation-led growth.

With this launch at Plast India Expo 2026, Paracoat Products Limited strengthens its position as a frontrunner in sustainable polymer innovation. The company’s initiative showcases how industry-driven solutions can reduce plastic dependency, convert agricultural waste into high-value materials, and accelerate India’s transition toward eco-efficient and circular manufacturing practices in line with national sustainability priorities.
