Children’s Technology Startup Wippi Secures $1.2M to Scale Conversational AI Playmates in India

Bangalore, August 12, 2026: Wippi, a children’s technology startup building screen-free, conversational products for young children, today announced that it has raised $1.2 million in seed funding. The round was led by 12 Flags, with participation from Warmup Ventures, Ventana Ventures, and Ruvento Ventures.

The funding will accelerate product innovation, strengthen Wippi’s proprietary voice AI capabilities, expand engineering and AI teams, scale manufacturing in India, and grow its direct-to-consumer business. Wippi also plans to expand its portfolio of characters, languages, and original content, aiming to reach 15,000+ families over the next twelve months.

Founders’ Vision
Founded by Rishabh Singhi and Siddhartha Jain, Wippi was born from a simple observation: children are spending more time on screens than ever before, while parents are actively searching for healthier alternatives.

Wippi introduces a new category of audio-first playmates that combine conversational AI with storytelling and interactive play, reimagining how children learn, imagine, and grow — without adding another screen to their lives.

Product Innovation
At the heart of Wippi is the idea that stories become magical when children can be part of them. Wippi transforms storytelling into an immersive, two-way experience through:

  • Proprietary Voice AI
  • Character Cards
  • Illustrated Storybooks
  • Wippi Radio

Children interact with narrators and beloved characters like Ram, Krishna, Alice, Cinderella, and Aladdin, asking questions, making choices, and shaping each adventure. Every story becomes more engaging, personal, and human-like — turning storytelling into a richer way to play, learn, and imagine.

Wippi - Ramayan

Rishabh Singhi, Co-Founder, Wippi: “Every generation grows up with a defining technology, and for today’s children that will be AI. We are building Wippi so those first interactions spark curiosity, imagination, and learning while giving parents complete confidence in the experience. This investment enables us to accelerate that vision and reach many more families.”

Rajat Agarwal, Partner & MD, 12 Flags: “Parents today face a unique choice: how to limit screen-time while letting AI into their children’s lives. Wippi’s screen-free, AI-led approach solves this thoughtfully, enabling creativity and companionship instead of passive consumption. We are excited to back founders building category-defining, IP-first businesses.”

Siddhartha Jain, Co-Founder & CEO, Wippi: “Building AI for children demands a different standard of technology, safety, and product design. This funding will help us strengthen our proprietary AI platform, expand engineering capabilities, and continue building products designed in India for families here and worldwide.”

Sharad Bansal, Managing Partner, Warmup Ventures: “India’s 250M+ children under 14 represent a massive opportunity. Wippi brings together proprietary hardware and child-first AI to create a screen-free companion that learns, adapts, and engages with kids as young as 4 years old. Wippi is building a new category at the intersection of AI, play, and voice.”

Future Roadmap
Looking ahead, Wippi plans to:

  • Expand its library of characters, languages, and story worlds.
  • Advance AI-powered conversational learning experiences.
  • Introduce collectible figurines bridging physical and digital play.
  • Build an ever-evolving ecosystem that grows with every child.
