India, October 8, 2026: DBS Bank India has introduced Customs Duty, Central Excise, and Service Tax payment capabilities through the ICEGATE 2.0 platform, complementing its existing GST and Direct Tax payment services. With this launch, DBS Bank India becomes the only wholly owned subsidiary in India to support all three major central tax payment categories through government platforms.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India’s merchandise imports reached US$363 billion during April–August FY2026–27, up 18.2% year-on-year, while exports rose to US$215.9 billion.
