HYDERABAD, INDIA, December 27, 2018: Hyderabad headquartered OMICS & PULSUS CEO, Dr Srinubabu Gedela received “Champions of Change” award from Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Honorable Vice President of India, at an award ceremony held last evening at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

The prestigious awards have been chosen through a rigorous selection process by a distinguished Jury Board. The awardees are those who have ushered in refreshing changes in their districts through their commitment, dedication, creative interventions and innovations all been inspirational leaders from around 115 districts across India. The ‘Transformation of Aspirational Districts’ program, the brain child of the premier think tank of India, the NITI Aayog, aims to quickly and effectively bring about transformational changes in the chosen 115 districts of India.
The award was given to Dr Srinubabu Gedela for his relentless work and contribution in various social and healthcare services, his involvement in sharing healthcare and agricultural information to remotest corners of India in citizen preferred Indian languages, giving knowledge and information to every citizen of this country for free of cost. His contribution during TiTli cyclone in Andhrapradesh was notable, more than one Lakh families was supported by him, when these family lost everything that they have to TiTli, each family was provided 10 kg Rice Bag, blanket and a sari. He is also known for his service in creating jobs, in Uttara Andhra alone, he had created 1 million (10 lakhs) jobs.
After receiving the award Dr Srinubabu Gedela, the distinguished scientist, an entrepreneur, and post-doctorate from Stanford University said, “It is a great honor and I am humbled, the Champions of change 2018 award will further my grit, to continue to make healthcare and scientific information accessible to remotest corners of the world in their preferred language for free of cost and will also go on to create employment opportunities for rural India and underprivileged population.”
