The Mahatma Award 2025 witnessed over 2,100 entries from across India, with only 90 organizations being recognized for their outstanding contributions to social and environmental responsibility. The prestigious award ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. Kiran Bedi, Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry and India’s first woman IPS officer, who attended as the Chief Guest, and Mr. A. Annamalai, Director, National Gandhi Museum – New Delhi, as Guest of Honour.
Instituted by Gandhian and lawyer Mr. Amit Sachdeva and supported by Ms. Rajashree Birla of the Aditya Birla Group, the Mahatma Award is regarded as India’s highest honor in the field of social impact and sustainability.
