BENGALURU | November 23, 2023 – Deloitte celebrates the seamless migration of Bolt-on 2.0, its Goods and Services Tax (GST) reporting and compliance tool, to Amazon Web Services (AWS), marking a significant shift from on-premises data centers to the cloud. Bolt-on 2.0, a cutting-edge platform designed for ERP-agnostic GST reporting, thrives in the cloud environment, enhancing automation, streamlining workflows, and optimizing costs. With Deloitte’s industry expertise combined with AWS’s robust cloud infrastructure, Bolt-on 2.0 becomes a powerful solution to tackle intricate GST challenges while ensuring compliance.

This transition aligns with the Digital India initiative’s focus on digitizing tax processes, incorporating e-invoicing and real-time transaction data submission. Bolt-on 2.0 on AWS facilitates this initiative by providing an integrated solution that automates processes, improves supply chains, and enhances decision-making, ultimately boosting productivity, reducing costs, optimizing working capital, and elevating customer satisfaction.

Gokul Chaudhri, President of Tax at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, emphasizes the necessity for organizations to adapt to the dynamic tax landscape. He states, “We embarked on a strategic engagement with AWS to build Bolt-on 2.0 to empower organizations to automate, optimize, and modernize their tax function and achieve greater agility, security, and innovation.”

Deloitte’s collaboration with AWS has transformed Bolt-on 2.0 into a scalable, reliable, and secure tax platform. Leveraging AWS services such as Amazon Relational Database Service, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, Amazon Lambda, and Application Load Balancer, the platform delivers superior price-performance, agility, and reliability. Bolt-on 2.0 employs AWS Security Hub and Amazon GuardDuty for enhanced security, automating checks and ensuring continuous monitoring for early threat detection.
