Ethnic Drink Startup ‘GoliSoda’ Enters Home Dessert Segment with 8 New Desserts

Hyderabad, January 6, 2020: With the increasing popularity of GoliSoda, the Hyderabad based ethnic flavoured drinks brand, has announced today the launch of 8 new home-based desserts, which include popular traditional desserts Paayasam/ Kheer, Ariselu to its product portfolio.

To popularise these new product additions, GoliSoda is launching a 3-week Paayasam / Kheer festival across its 10 operational stores of GoliSoda in Hyderabad.

Explaining the foray into home dessert category the Founder of GoliSoda, Ravi Teja Jallepalli said – “Ethnic deserts come with all the goodness. They are nutritious, stood the test of time and proven to be base for healthy and joyful life for centuries. Also, we have replaced sugar with jaggery.”

On the expansion front, Ravi added, “GoliSoda had launched cloud stores in Bangalore in 2019, to drive revenue growth and maximize ROI through improved retail execution capabilities. The brand distribution network has also accelerated as its inked partnership with Zomato and Dunzo alongside Swiggy”.

To meet the growing demand for its range of products GoliSoda has moved into a new facility in Shamshabad industrial area, increasing its production capacity to 25000 bottles per day.

2020 is an exciting phase in our growth plan Ravi stated “We have tapped into premium wedding events to further expand consumption volumes in the ethnic drinks market. GoliSoda will also launch its first offline Quick Service Kiosk near NIFT-Hyderabad in Jan 2020. Our menu is well-diversified, consumption-focussed from being a thirst quencher menu, we have ventured into new category adding desserts such as the kheers to stimulate category leadership.”

According to market reports, the demand for packaged ethnic drinks has grown 32% over the last three years, offering huge growth potential for brand GoliSoda.

On the business front, GoliSoda is targeting a 2.5x growth in 2020 from their last year revenues of INR 5 Cr. The company foresees a big potential in brand growth with the addition of new dessert range by consolidating the penetration in this segment, it is also looking at enthusiastic franchisee partners to strengthen its expansion strategy.
