Mr. Srivastava recently retired from Maruti Suzuki after driving its insurance distribution business for 25 years. He spearheaded the business as CEO and Principal Officer of Maruti Suzuki Insurance Broking Private Limited, the largest retail insurance broking entity in India today.

Surendra Srivastava’s Career Highlights
Mr. Srivastava’s career at Maruti Suzuki defined how motor insurance distribution works in India today:
- Built Maruti Suzuki’s insurance distribution business from a greenfield initiative into the country’s largest retail insurance broking company.
- Drove the transition from manual cover notes to fully digital insurance.
- Played a critical role during the de-tariffing of motor insurance in 2007.
- Founding contributor to verticals including Maruti True Value, Maruti Finance, and Maruti Driving Training School.
Beyond Maruti:
- Served on the guiding board of NSDL for insurance digitisation in India.
- Contributed to multiple IRDAI committees for policy formation and compliance.
- Co-chaired the Finance, Leasing and Insurance Group at SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers).
