ION Energy doubles down on its expansion strategy and announces promotion of Puneet Arora as Chief Operating Officer

21st May 2020: ION Energy, advanced battery management and intelligence systems provider for EVs and ESS, has recently announced its plans to conduct recruitment for 8 high-profile, high-value positions including 6 high-priority roles. The company has also announced the promotion of Puneet Arora as the Chief Operating Officer, who is instrumental in leading the company’s ongoing operational growth, overseeing the engineering and technology management, and strengthening customer-company relations.

As part of its expansion drive, the company is actively looking to hire high-quality talent from tier-1 and tier-2 colleges with 1-5 years of experience in the electronics and automotive industry. These include Program Manager, Functional Safety Engineer, Senior Hardware Engineer, Quality Engineer, Senior Test and Validation Engineer, Business Development Executive, PCB Design Engineer, Finance Executive, Test and Validation Engineer. Having begun with the hiring process a month ago, the company has already onboarded a hardware engineer. 

The company has recently won numerous new projects. In line with this development, the company has decided to scale up its engineering headcount to seamlessly manage the workflow and service delivery. The addition of 8 new professionals to its existing workforce strength of 49 employees will result in a 15% increase of the incumbent employee base.

Under the aegis of strong senior leadership, the company’s aim is to reduce carbon footprints and build/provide sustainable cutting-edge technology for lithium-ion batteries with a focus on electric mobility. As the COO of ION Energy, Puneet aims to accelerate the products and productivity of the company and create an employee-friendly environment that is conducive to achieving targets and inciting overall growth.

Having joined ION Energy in 2018 as a Program Manager, Puneet graduated to the post of VP – Business Operations in a matter of four months before ascending to his current designation. Puneet completed his dual degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the prestigious IIT Bombay. While at IIT, he displayed his prolific scientific aptitude and an inventor’s knack in all things electric.
