LALA World Spreads Smiles with Creative Healing

September 27, 2018, Delhi: LALA World joined hands with OncoHappy (dedicated to holistic care for cancer) to bring an expressive art festival. The employees of LALA World teamed up with the volunteers of OncoHappy (NGO) and helped them in organising creative healing sessions at St. Jude Childcare Centre, Noida. The therapy sessions that started today would be conducted between 4:30-6:30 PM for the next six days i.e. from September 24th to September 30th, 2018.

September is the Paediatric Cancer Awareness month and this dreadful disease doesn’t have to be a dark subject- in celebration of these little warrior’s spirit to defeat cancer. OncoHappy, has curated India’s first ever expressive arts festival. The sessions are being held in association and contribution of local partners, including LALA World, across multiple cancer centres and hospitals, in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Bangalore.

“I lost my mother to Cancer and have been a close witness to the pain and sufferings borne by her. We believe that giving them a small reason to smile and make them forget their pain even for an instance means a lot. And hence, doing our bit in reducing the traumatic experiences that they are undergoing at this tender age.”, said Sankalp Shangari, Founder and CEO, LALA World.

The 7-day festival will include multiple therapies, including, poetry, music, dance movement, theatre, cooking, storytelling, craft and art. The instructors holding these workshops are a group of artists and therapists, spending time teaching children the importance of mental health to cope up with their treatment.
