National, 09 February 2023: MediBuddy, India’s premier Digital Healthcare platform, declared today that it has taken over the “vHealth by Aetna” business (Indian Health Organization Private Limited) in India.
“vHealth by Aetna” is one of India’s most cutting-edge primary healthcare service providers. With its expertise in the B2B healthcare sector, it offers a range of subscription-based primary healthcare services, including telehealth consultations, a vast network of outpatient services, pharmacy, diagnostics, and dental care, among other offerings to its customers.
Commenting on the acquisition, Satish Kannan, Co-Founder, and CEO at MediBuddy said, “We made a strategic decision to go ahead with this critical acquisition as it is in line with our commitment to making high quality healthcare accessible to a billion people. Over the next half-year, the “vHealth by Aetna” business will be incorporated into the MediBuddy brand and rebranded as “MediBuddy vHealth.” The current management team and employees of IHO will remain in place as part of MediBuddy. Subscribers of both “vHealth by Aetna” and MediBuddy will have access to the latest technology and increased resources for an improved customer experience. The acquisition will add “vHealth by Aetna’s” subscribers to the already substantial MediBuddy platform, which has a customer base of over 30 million. MediBuddy recently completed its merger with DocsApp and raised $125 million in a Series C funding round during Q1 2022.
