We are publishing an interview of Mr. Amit Miglani, Founder, Cleanseat – A New Delhi based startup which has developed disposable toilet seat cover for women to stay away from infections in public toilet.

Please tell us about the founders:
I have done B.tech (IT) and have 2 years of work exp. in Information Technology sector. I have also completed Entrepreneurship course from IIT – Delhi.

What is the problem you are trying to solve? Can you share with us any insights that led you to believe that this is a big enough problem? 
Our product ‘Cleanseat’ (Disposable Toilet Seat Cover) helps women to stay away from infections in public toilet. I tried to solve a problem for my mother and then thought this same problem is also faced by other women as well so thought to scale this one. We think that it is revolutionary product for women.

What is the uniqueness about your Startup? 
Our product ‘Cleanseat’  is made up of recycled paper, anti-bacterial and flushable too.

Why do you choose crowdfunding? 
To serve max. women , we need funds for production and marketing.

Why should anyone or investor back you? 
There is a lot of potential in our product because it is solving major problem.

What would you do after raising funds? 
We will be able to serve atleast 10,000 women in next 6 months.

What is the revenue model? Explain your thought process. 
It’s a FMCG Product and we are focusing on B2C & B2B customers.

Who are the consumers that you are targeting? How is this going to affect them? 
Our target market is women, travellers and tourist. They can stay away from unhealthy-peeing.

What is the big picture of your startup? Will it lead to something bigger? If so, how? 
As I said earlier, it is revolutionary product and it will solve major problem faced by women. Our vision is that every women start carrying their cleanseat in their handbag and it’s going to be very exciting.

Whenever any women use public toilet, we like to see a smile on each and every women face after using our product cleanseat.
