As Co-founder and CEO of FreightFox, Nitish Rai is dedicated to developing and implementing strategic business plans that align with the company’s vision and mission. His background in the global manufacturing industry has given him a unique understanding of the daily challenges businesses face, which served as the catalyst for creating a data-driven enterprise logistics solution. Holding both an MBA and a PhD, Mr. Rai also serves on the advisory council at the Army Institute of Technology and has a keen interest in weaponry, railways, and the evolution of machines.
His passion for logistics stems from his nomadic childhood as an Army kid, where the uncertainty and unpredictability of goods deliveries was a constant source of frustration. This experience ultimately led to the creation of his first venture, Blacktrunk Logistics, but it was losing a transportation deal with the Indian Army due to an inability to guarantee 50 truck availability that ultimately sparked the idea for FreightFox, a reliable and efficient logistics service for manufacturers to manage their daily dispatch volumes.
