On International Human Rights Day, RupeeCircle wants every individual to have a right to affordable credit

RupeeCircle, founded in 2017, has disbursed loans worth INR 100 million to the under-banked segments or the credit invisibles who had difficulties in accessing credit from formal financial institutions.

Speaking on the campaign, Ajit Kumar, Founder & CEO, RupeeCircle said, “This is a very emotional cause for us and the primary reason why RupeeCircle was started. Through this campaign, we want to promote Financial Inclusion as a basic right for every individual.” India is home to more than 500 million credit invisibles that have to rely on informal sources for credit and many of them end up paying exorbitantly high interest rates when they need to borrow money.

Nikhil Prabhakar, Head of Marketing & Products further added, “Having access to credit is as important as all other rights we have. We want to dedicate this International Human Rights Day to driving a financially inclusive society, something that we deeply believe in.”
