PhysicsWallah and CSC Academy Partner to Launch Digital University for Rural India

India, June 27, 2025PhysicsWallah (PW), a leading edtech company, has entered a strategic partnership with CSC Academy (CSCA), a not-for-profit initiative under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s Common Services Centres (CSC) framework. Together, the organizations are working to establish a Digital University, aimed at delivering accredited online degrees and certificate programs to learners in rural and underserved regions across India.

The initiative will leverage PhysicsWallah’s robust academic and content development capabilities alongside CSC Academy’s nationwide network of learning hubs—creating a hybrid education model that blends online, offline, and community-based learning. CSCs will function as Digital Learning Centres, enabling access to quality higher education in even the most remote areas.

Key Areas of Collaboration:

  • Digital Degree Programs: Accessible, accredited courses spanning academic and vocational domains.
  • Skill Development: Joint certification programs in emerging sectors like Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Behavioral Science.
  • Local Empowerment: Training of CSC Academy staff and Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) to support learners on the ground.

Prateek Maheshwari, Co-Founder of PhysicsWallah, emphasized the mission behind the partnership: “We believe no learner should be left behind due to geography or lack of resources. This collaboration with CSC Academy allows us to bring structured, quality learning to the very heart of rural India.”

Pravin Chandekar, CEO of CSC Academy, echoed the vision: “Our goal has always been to bridge the digital and educational divide. With PW’s academic strength, we are creating more than just classrooms—we are opening doors to opportunities and futures once thought out of reach.”

By uniting PW’s tech-driven learning approach with CSCA’s grassroots presence, the partnership aims to build an inclusive, future-ready education ecosystem—empowering rural learners with tools, knowledge, and guidance to thrive in the digital era.
