• The angel network propels The RenalProject’s mission to enhance dialysis accessibility, opening avenues for revolutionary renal care solutions.

In January 2024, JITO Angel Network (JAN), promoted by JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation (JIIF), spearheaded the pre-seeding investment round for RenalProject. The Mumbai-based healthcare startup, founded by Shashank Moddhia, received an undisclosed investment from JIIF and esteemed investors, including 100x VC, Gopi Latpate, Thapar Vision, and Angels.

RenalProject is committed to transforming the landscape of dialysis therapy availability and delivery, particularly in tier 2 & 3 cities. The funding injection is earmarked for expanding its technological infrastructure and initiating pipeline projects, marking a significant stride towards enhancing accessibility and efficiency in renal healthcare services.

Rajat Mehta, Chairman of JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation, expressed, “JIIF is dedicated to supporting ventures that make positive contributions to society. This strategic investment represents a substantial stride in fulfilling our joint commitment to advancing accessible and impactful healthcare solutions in the country. The RenalProject’s mission aligns seamlessly with our vision for revolutionary healthcare solutions.”

Shashank Moddhia, Founder of The RenalProject, highlighted the vital role of funding from JIIF and other investors in the growth stage, addressing the accessibility gap in dialysis services. The startup’s innovative approach involves establishing micro centers with scalable capacities, starting from 2 beds and upwards. These centers collaborate with existing medical facilities to ensure easily accessible dialysis services in areas where traditional centers are lacking. The vision is rooted in the belief that nobody should endure the challenges of traveling long distances for life-sustaining dialysis therapy every 2-3 days. With this funding, RenalProject is committed to reshaping renal healthcare and ensuring accessible dialysis for all in need.
