New Delhi, 10th September 2024: Satyukt Analytics, a Bangalore-based agritech company leading a global transformation in farming, recently shared revolutionary insights at the Global Fintech Fest 2024 in Mumbai. Dr. Sat Kumar Tomer, Founder and CEO of Satyukt Analytics, took part in a panel discussion on “Smart Farming: Emerging Trends and Opportunities for Agritech Startups.”
Expressing gratitude to NABVENTURES for facilitating meaningful connections at the event, Dr. Tomer highlighted how Satyukt Analytics is harnessing technology to boost crop yields while cutting input costs, particularly benefiting small and marginal farmers. With over 14 crore farmers in India and around 30 crore in other developing countries, Dr. Tomer stressed the need for scalable and affordable solutions to traditional farming practices.
At the core of Satyukt’s approach is satellite remote sensing technology, which provides vital solutions for soil nutrient management, pest control, disease prevention, and irrigation optimization—all without the need for expensive on-farm hardware. This technology is especially advantageous for small-scale farmers with limited access to advanced agricultural tools.
Looking ahead, Dr. Tomer shared his vision of how advancements in satellite remote sensing, coupled with growing smartphone usage, improved internet access, and enhanced processing power, are ushering in a new era of smart agriculture. He emphasized that these technologies will continue to evolve, enabling farmers, government bodies, and stakeholders across the agricultural value chain to make informed, data-driven decisions that foster sustainable growth.
