Start-up India Association Collaborates With Venture Gurukool & IGAIN to Showcase High-potential Indian Startups to Serious Chinese Investors

Start-up India Association (www.startupindiaassociation.com) has collaborated with Venture Gurukool (www.venturegurukool.com) and IGAIN (www.igain.biz) to showcase high-potential Indian startups to serious Chinese investors.

IGAIN via its network has access to leading venture capital firms, foundations, corporates, institutions, family offices, private banks and high net worth individuals from South East Asia, China and MENA. Please visit www.igain.biz for more information.

This would be a unique investor roadshow where each start-up will have exclusive meetings with a host of serious investors, matched with investor profile and investment preference.

The investor base would include:

  1. China based investors with a focus on entry into emerging markets.
  2. Investors with a mandate to invest into innovative/disruptive firms.
  3. Venture capital firms with an outbound investment mandate, focusing on emerging markets specifically India.
  4. Corporate venture capital firms interested in tapping into India growth story.

The roadshow would be more than a one time meeting platform whereby selected startups will have assistance pre roadshow and post roadshow.

Prior to the roadshow, selected start-ups would be part of a workshop which provides them with adequate material assistance in presenting the business /financial model for the fundraise. In this process, each start-up would be matched with shortlisted top-tier investors. The entire process involves pre-screening of investors within multiple regions in China and scheduling meetings with the top investors who have expressed the most interest in a particular start-up.

Post the roadshow, IGAIN will continue to follow up with the investors and the start-up, ensuring that no potential deal goes cold. This would include arranging conference calls to discuss the investment opportunity further, execution of NDAs and work towards closing the deal.

Start-up India Association encourages all early stage companies to apply for SIA and IGAIN’s flagship roadshow to China scheduled in October 2017. Given the exclusivity with serious investors, they are showcasing only select hi-potential start-ups for the roadshow, thereby they encourage early applicants.
