Swaastha: A New Healthcare Accelerator Launched by India Accelerator and Anant National University

June 2024: India Accelerator, the country’s leading fund-led accelerator associated with the Global Accelerator Network, is set to transform the healthcare startup landscape with the launch of Swaastha, an exclusive healthcare acceleration program. This initiative, in collaboration with Aarambh Incubation Centre at Anant National University, will officially launch on June 29th at the university’s Ahmedabad campus.

Swaastha: A Dedicated Healthcare Accelerator Program
Swaastha is designed to empower healthcare startups incubated at Aarambh Incubation Centre through a comprehensive 12-week program, culminating in a Demo Day for fundraising and networking opportunities.

Arindam Mukhopadhyay, Partner & Head of Corporate Innovation at India Accelerator, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to take a transformative step in the healthcare startup ecosystem. Our latest initiative, Swaastha Accelerator, will combine industry expertise and Anant’s design thinking approach to nurture young entrepreneurial minds. Together, we look forward to driving advancements by refining industry standards and accelerating the future of healthcare innovation.”

Equipping Startups for Success
Swaastha will provide extensive capacity-building sessions led by industry experts, equipping startups with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary for product development, regulatory compliance, and deployment support. India Accelerator will also facilitate market and investor access to catalyze innovation and entrepreneurial excellence, helping startups scale their growth.

The program focuses on key areas such as Drug Discovery & Development, Digital Health & Well-being solutions, New Generation Diagnostics, Last Mile Delivery, Optical Dispensing, Genome Sequencing, IVF, Fetal and Neonatal Monitoring, and AI-Driven Prognosis, Diagnosis, and Interventions.

Expert Guidance and Industry Insights
Prof. Milind Chitale, Director of Maker Space and Associate Professor at Anant National University, emphasized the program’s value, saying, “Our focus in this program is to give meaningful insights and guidance to promising startups in the medical healthcare sector. Participants will benefit from the expertise of professionals across the healthcare ecosystem, from practicing doctors to business leaders, technical experts in design, technology, and manufacturing, as well as logistics and marketing specialists. I would not miss it as an entrepreneur for anything.”

Anant National University: Pioneering Design and Innovation
As India’s first DesignX University, Anant National University encourages students to develop a revolutionary mindset and seek solutions to local and global problems through interdisciplinary knowledge. Aarambh Incubation Centre, supported by the Government of Gujarat’s Student Startup & Innovation Policy (SSIP), helps young innovators prototype their ideas.
