Talktail 1.0- Challenges of Startups at Growth Stage

Gurugram, December 14th 2018: Talktail 1.0 was organized by Startup Buddy and ASR Business Advisors along with HSBC Business Banking, India on 14th December 2018 in DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Gurugram. This event was ideated to bring people from different background at single platform to help Startups in their growth. The event was attended by startups founders, Investors, Mentors, Startup Enablers and officials from different corporate.

The event was kick-started by a welcome note from Mr. Manish Aggarwal, Co-founder, Startup Buddy where he explained about the current startup Ecosystem and the contribution made by the Startups in Indian Growth.

The event led a panel discussion on “Challenges of Startups at Growth Stage” moderated by Mr. Dheeraj Jain (Managing Partner, Redcliffe Capital). This discussion was participated by the panelists including Dr. Abha Rishi (CEO, AIC BIMTECH), Ms. Shivani Singh (Former Vice President-Star India & Angel Investor), Mr. Anuj Kanwar (Head Transaction Banking, Business Banking, HSBC) and Mr. Anirudh Rastogi (Founder, Ikigai Law) where they explain about the various challenges at growth stage startups and the possible solutions based on their experience. Mr. Anirudh explained in detail that why Legal and compliance is important for startups with the help of various case studies. All the questions asked by audience were answered by respective Panelists and Mr. Dheeraj summaries the takeaways from the session.

Mr. Aniemesh Kumar,Sr. Vice President & City Head GLCM-North India, HSBC conducted an informative session on “Dialogue on banking solutions for start-ups” to create awareness regarding how the modern banks have come up with start-up friendly offerings. This session was followed by Mr. Vikas Bagaria, (Founder-PeeSafe) who gave a brief glimpse to the attendees about the transformation of his life from traditional businessmen to startup founder. He explained the challenges he faced during this journey and how he overcome.

Mr. Amit Singal (Co-founder & CEO, Startup Buddy) mentioned the thought process that led to the ideation of Talktail 1.0. He says, “The start-up community has a lot of challenges and the ecosystem is trying to provide for them in every possible way. We felt that there is a need for a platform which could create awareness of such aids available to them.”
Dr. Abha Rishi (CEO, Atal Incubation Centre-BIMTECH) who participated in the panel discussion, appreciated this initiative. She says, “The ecosystem today needs such platform so that the steps taken in the right direction actually reach the entrepreneurs who will gain the maximum benefits out of it.”

Ms. Shivani Singh was impressed with good presence of women entrepreneurs at the event and shown interest to participate in such events in future as well. Ms. Shivani is very active in Startup Ecosystem and helping lots of women led startups all across India.

Attendees of the event were very happy as they got a good opportunity to interact with experts and other startups founders.
