Preety Tyagi, a certified Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, New York, a healthy cooking and wellness enthusiast. After battling her own hormonal imbalances and health issues through proper nutritional intake, she started health coaching for her family and friends. Most of the Gut Health issues were easily recognizable by her and more so, she was able to help many people come out of their health problems through proper diet planning. She started freelancing in the same domain before forming her own company. Having worked in three different countries and now with a global clientele, she has successfully pulled out a lot many people out of their health issues and help them lead a healthy life. Q.: What is the problem you are trying to solve?
Ans:
The problem of Lifestyle Diseases, Hormonal Health issues, Gut Health issues through proper scientific diet and nutrition Planning.

Q.: Can you share with us any insights that led you to believe that this is a big enough problem?
Ans:
Yes!! I started my journey on personal front where I had started studying nutrition and Gut Health to solve my own health issues. After graduating from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, New York, I healed myself completely out of my hormonal imbalances that I was facing after the birth of my children. After which, I realized that every person I would come across was suffering from some kind of health issue and which all resorts to on main cause, i.e. Weak Gut Health. In my urge to help my family and friends, I started advising them with diet plans and it seemed to work each time. This pushed me to believe and desire that I want to help as many people possible through my knowledge attained so far. And when I looked at the statistics, it was no different. Studies show, out of every 5 girls, 3 are found to be having hormonal health issues, the rise of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, etc is all on rise like never before.

Q.: Tell us about the Product / Solution. Explain how you went about the Product-Market Fit Process.
Ans:
The solution we offer is of a very personal kind. We do a complete health history analysis on the client, present health condition and then, help them with diet and nutrition planning that can help them in the long term to pull them out of their health issues. While working as a freelancer, I was able to understand as to how much important it is in today’s world and how people are constantly looking for solutions to their health problems these days.

Given the work life balance of working busy people these days, it becomes even more important for people to understand the need of a well planned healthy diet for people.

Q.: What is your USP?
Ans:
Diet Planning for a Healthy GUT. We also have tie ups with companies which are into the genomics of the Gut Microbiome. We work on people’s Gut Microbiome which is unique for everyone.

Q.: What were your assumptions when you entered the market, learning that you have? Who in your mind is your ideal customer? Do you have at least one of them signed up?
Ans:
Anyone who is aware of his body’s health, is going through health issues despite of being a healthy eater and an active person.

Q.: What has been your biggest failure as an entrepreneur and what did you learn from it??
Ans:
There have been many obstacles, as I don’t like to use the word failure for them. To cite one of those would be, the obstacles I faced while building a team. It’s very important for any business to have a team that works well towards the organizational goals and not just their own personal goals. It’s as difficult as it’s important, to find such a deal. I had committed mistakes initially while hiring people without any training period to keep in mind. I am much more cautious now while doing my hirings and team building.

Q.: How are you pricing the Product? What is the logic behind it? What is the model you are following – Free / Freemium / Premium etc. ? Explain your thought process.
Ans:
We can be termed as Premium but cost wise, we are still very reasonable in comparison to competition. Having an online interface and being a global enterprise, we benefit on the opportunity of being able to save costs and having clients from anywhere in the world. Why we are premium, because we sell a service which only the health enthusiasts or people who are concerned about their health will buy. It’s definitely not a service for the masses. We are a niche market service provider.

Q.: How did you get your first customer?
Ans:
Through Campaigns and presentations. Rest followed over with Word of Mouth.

Q.: Please tell us about the investors (if any)
Ans:
We have bootstrapped.

Q.: Is there any interesting success story? If yes, please write about it. ?
Ans:
I have many such success stories of people who have been able to achieve so much just by following a proper balanced diet plan. I would like to share one such amazing success story, where the results were not just amazing but quite unbelievable to the women herself.

My client, who is in her 40’s, suffering from hormonal imbalance of Thyroid gland that had made her gain weight. She is menopausal, so that made her symptoms even worse. She was constantly at a battle with her weight along with the other symptoms of anxiety, hot flashes, short temperedness, excessive bloating and gastric issues, that she was going through. All in all, she was very concerned about her health when she approached us. Her diet history was also very absurd. After having tried too many different and inadequate diets in the past, she had brought her overall health to a very imbalanced state. After noting down all her symptoms and her diet history, we started working on her diet plan. She had signed up for a three month plan with us initially. The first diet went out to her, and she replied saying, can one really lose weight while eating so much?? There is no crash diet, no mono dieting, no salt less dinners… Are you sure, this will work on me?? I replied by saying, follow it and find out yourself. She started on with diet very religiously with commendable dedication. And results were as expected. She was 9 kgs down in the first three months and that is, while she was going through all her hormonal upheavals. Her body shape started showing up beautifully. All the bloating that she had been suffering from, had made her balloon up, is now gone. Her waistline is now ready for those party dresses, she had been longing to wear again. She signed up for another three months to keep up with her health and maintain what she had achieved. She lost another three kilos in the process and can maintain her weight and health so far. She is an ongoing member with me on my nutrition plans and I call her a star for the dedication and resilience that she has shown for these years. Yes! It’s been years that she has been associated with me and is a very happy member.

So, the right guidance and some motivation, takes people a long way. And sometimes, diet is all that needs to be worked on to achieve your desired health goals.

Q.: What is the big picture of your startup? Is this Product/service leading to something bigger? If so, how?
Ans:
We are taking jumps and leaps in the Gut Health domain especially in India. Having tied up with companies who deal in testing a person’s Gut Microbiome and Genomics, we help people bring to them, services at a very reasonable cost in comparison to in the rest of the world.

Q.: What would be your goal to accomplish in the next six months?
Ans:
We are looking at expanding into other countries in the South East Asia, currently keeping Malaysia and Singapore.

Q.: What message do you want to convey to fellow entrepreneurs?
Ans:
Just Keep Going… The Present Day Market is Great as well as Smart. People are looking for quality, be it a product or service, provide them that and they will be happy to carry on as happy loyal clients. Each Happy customer earned is the biggest earning for an entrepreneur.
