About the founders:
Yogesh Bhatia (Founder) –
A dynamic professional with over two decades of rich and extensive experience, Mr. Yogesh Bhatia has worked across the country’s Mobility Business market. Currently, he is associated with S.G. Corporate Mobility and Wow eCarts under the S. G. Group. He has been associated with them since 1995. As the MD, Bhatia drives the vision, strategy, and growth at Detel with zeal to position the company amongst the leading companies in India, with a global outlook and fame. He strongly supports the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Green India’ initiatives and has launched various campaigns like #Connecting40CroreIndians, ‘HarGharTV’.

His knowledge and expertise has helped the organization to explore new growth horizons. His vision has enhanced the diverse services provided by the company and has enriched their clientele. Q.: What is the problem you are trying to solve? Can you share with us any insights that led you to believe that this is a big enough problem?
Ans:
Most of the second hand phones are sold in the grey market, there is no proper warranty and support and accessories are available, and the same time there is no tax loss to government of India from which the phone sold in Grey Market.

Q.: Tell us about the Product / Solution. Explain how you went about the Product-Market Fit Process.
Ans:
Over the period of time we have been looking for the market of refurbished mobile phones is unorganised and there are very less players who are giving quality products with proper warranty PAN India warranty and bills.

Q.: What is your USP?
Ans:
We are giving PreLovedDevices to the customers with 6 months warranty by calling at toll free number with 52 points quality checks.
All PreLoved Devices are graded with grades in order to have best of consumer satisfaction.

Q.: What were your assumptions when you entered the market, learnings that you have?
Ans:
Our assumptions are:
• Abundant availability of used smartphones.
• Large customer base aspiring to own premium brands.
• 6 months warranty will reduced perceived risk of the customers.

Ideal Customer for PreLoved Device is young generation between 18-40 years who wanted to utilise their hard earn money for affordable devices with desired own premium brands.

Q.: How are you pricing the Product? Explain your thought process.
Ans:
We have 6 variants of each model. The Price for each variant is a combination of Model, so we have a product for every price band.

Q.: How did you get your first customer?
Ans:
we get our first customer on facebook page, much prior to our launch who wanted to order PreLoved Device. We had deliver the mobile to customers with freebies.

Q.: Is there any interesting success story? If yes, please write about it. ?
Ans:
For Refurbished mobiles are being sold in unstructured way without support of refurbished brand. PreLoved Device has taken initiative to focus selling refurbished products in a structure way in order to have best of consumer experience and PAN India warranty support.

Q.: What is the big picture of your startup? Is this Product leading to something bigger? If so, how?
Ans:
The big Picture of our Start-up that we have initially selling through e-commerce, we further have plans to open offline stores in Top cities of India for PreLoved Device.

Q.: What is the insight that you have about this market, which no one else has? Uniqueness about your Startup.
Ans:
All over the world refurbished products have a huge turnover and young population prefer to buy aspirational brands and bargain prices. We are giving range of 6 brands smartphones refurbish with 6 variants each. Over and above this we are providing 6 months warranty.

  • Yogesh Bhatia – CEO/Founder – He carries 23 years of experience, hailing from Karnal in Haryana, he is a veteran in Distribution & B2B Industry. Worked as Regional and National Distributor for Brands numerous brands in the following sectors: FMCG: Stationery ,IT & Tablets ,Appliances, Mobiles: Launched own Brand in Feature Phone and Mobile accessories in the Name of “DETEL” in 2016 and “Worlds most Economical Feature phone in 2017.
  • Sanjeev Soni – Vertical Head – A multi-dimensional & dynamic professional with 23 years industry veteran with experience in Retail, Distribution, E-commerce & Omni channel Operations Management. Worked across various product lines in the IT & Telecom space in India & Dubai, & North America.
