Uniphore Software Systems Strengthens Leadership Team – Brings onboard industry veterans as Sr. VP Core Technology and India Business Head

Chennai, June 7, 2017: Uniphore Software Systems, a Chennai-based speech recognition solutions company, announced appointments of Dr. Pat T. Pattabhiraman as Senior Vice President, Core Technology, and Ravi Kompella as the India Business Head.

Dr. Pattabhiraman comes from Conversay and has an extensive experience in natural Language Processing and Speech Technology to his credit, where he led teams of speech engineers and computational linguists in the development of critical components of speech recognition engines in 20 languages, resulting in commercial products deployed on over 8 million devices. He has also worked at Seagate Software (now SAP Canada), where he architected a natural language interface to Crystal Reports and developed several of its major modules. He is a mentor with Cyberlaunch, the leading accelerator for machine learning and information security startups.

He has been a part of major conferences and guest-edited special issues of the Computational Intelligence Journal on Natural Language Generation. His Ph.D. dissertation is used as course material at the University of Strasbourg. He has a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras, and a Ph.D. in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University.

Ravi Kompella joins Uniphore from Salesforce India where he was driving business from Enterprise Accounts. He comes with two decades of experience in areas across Customer Service, Systems Administration, Solution Engineering and Accot Management. He had also handled several roles in sales, presales and IT in companies such as Oracle, Dell, Dixons Group (UK), Ingram Micro and Global Telesystems.

Ravi has completed an Advance Strategy Program from IIM-Calcutta, holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and an Honour’s Degree in Systems Management. Besides these achievements, he has successfully completed several professional trainings from reputed institutes across the globe during his previous endeavours.
