Young Indian Entrepreneur from Delhi Announced as Winner of Payoneer Entrepreneur of the Year Award

March 6th 2018, Mumbai: Payoneer, a leading cross-border payments company transforming the way businesses in India get paid globally, announced today that Saurabh Nanda of Nanda Overseas from Delhi has been named as their Entrepreneur of the Year. Into its second year, the Payoneer Entrepreneurship Awards recognize business owners from around the world for displaying strategic thinking, innovative spirit and social responsibility.

The competition drew thousands of entries from 128 countries, with hundreds from India. The entries included participants from various business categories such as apparel, handicrafts, web designers and developers who own a business or are solo entrepreneurs. The winners were:

The judges recognized Saurabh Nanda’s interesting journey, pointing to his dedication to achieving his dream of expanding a family business in the global market. Saurabh’s story is a fine example of the Indian entrepreneurial spirit and aspiration to succeed beyond India’s borders.

Saurabh, 20, who manages Nanda Overseas, currently studies at Delhi University while running a full time online business selling books. “With the surge in global internet access and explosive growth of e-commerce, I recognized the need to take my father’s book distribution business online. There were initial struggles but having learned the core of the books business from my father, I was determined to expand our business into global markets. Today, we succeeded in a way that my father could never have imagined. My father is very happy that I have grown what he started and I feel very satisfied that I made my family proud,” said Saurabh Nanda.
