iTEC India 2019 Announces 10 Hackathon Finalists

Bengaluru | 28th November 2019: iTEC India 2019 announces the final shortlisted 10 teams for the first-ever hackathon by the largest conference on transportation electrification. There were a total of 90 teams who qualified for the hackathon, choosing one of the 6 problem statements addressing India’s EV challenge.

The teams selected for the final presentation are

  1. Matrix proposed the solution for the problem statement – Safer the Better. How do we make the future EV a safer mode of transport?
  2. ModelonIndia presented for the problem statement- Islands of Sustainability: Can we create a sustainable eco-system?
  3. The Thrifters pitched for the statement – Solving Urban Transport Woes. Can we make shared mobility the solution?
  4. Team DSCE shared their interpretation and solution for the statement – Islands of Sustainability: Can we create a sustainable eco-system?
  5. Emitec EV Mitra  proposed their solution for – The use of electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers for last-mile delivery
  6. PRAXIANS PS shared their interpretation and solution for the statement – Making Energy Efficient EVs of the Future
  7. Safety First shared their response for the problem statement – Safer the Better. How do we make the future EV a safer mode of transport?
  8. Cerberus shared response for the problem statement – Second Life, Recycling and Upcycling. How do we draw the optimum use out of EV batteries, making them truly green?
  9. Quark worked towards the problem statement – Making Energy Efficient EVs of the Future
  10.  EasyEV submitted for the problem statement – The use of electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers for last mile delivery

The finale will happen on 29th November 2019 at 3M India, Electronics City Phase 1, Electronic City, Bengaluru. The winner will be awarded prize money of INR 1 Lakh and the runner up will be awarded INR 50,000.  

iTEC India Hackathon 2019 provided a platform for people to ideate for innovative solutions for India-specific eMobility problems. The Hackathon, which is being held in three phases, focuses on 06 problem statements that encompass the critical areas for e-mobility in India, furthering the Government of India’s vision ‘Electric Mobility 2030’.
