Amrita TBI is a non-profit startup incubator supported by Govt. of India and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham that funds, mentors and nurtures ideas, startups and entrepreneurs.

Amrita TBI is one of the select 6 incubators that will be made world-class under AIM, NITI Aayog, Govt. of India,  also the National award winner for being the best startup incubator in India.

Amrita TBI has incubated 139 startups and mentored 400+ startup ideas. Startups have raised over Rs. 45 Crore in investments and filed 43+ patents.

A Platform for Startup Funding

Amrita TBI PitchFest is a platform for startups to showcase their startup ideas, qualify to receive a total seed investment up to USD 200,000.  Previous editions received overwhelming response across India with over 800 applications.  

The 7th edition of PitchFest is partnered by NSTEDB, Department of Science and Technology. Government of India, NITI Aayog, Indian Angel Network, VenturEast, and TiE Bangalore to find the most promising startups in India. Pitchfest event will be at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham campus, Bangalore

PitchFest has brought together the prominent VCs, angel investors, mentors, serial entrepreneurs, CEOs and Government officials in the startup ecosystem for the past editions, such as Shri Amitabh KantCEO, NITI Aayog, Government of India, R. Natarajan, COO and CFO of RNT Capital Advisers, M Janakiraman, CEO, Matrimony.com. Mr M. Maheen Kannu, Founder, SpringForth Capital Advisers, Mr Mohan Kumar, Managing Partner, Avataar Venture Partners and so on.

What’s inside for startups

The total seed investment outlay from Amrita TBI is USD 200,000.

The top 30 selected startups will go through a half-day mentorship program on Day 1 followed by the selection of top 10 startups. On Day-2, the top 10 startups will pitch in front of an elite panel of investors and C-level executives.

Amrita TBI will complete the required due-diligence on the finalists and provide seed investments for qualified startups. Amrita TBI will provide infrastructure and incubation services at low cost across three cities- Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Kollam.

The Top startups will qualify for the seed investment along with the Incubation services such as Mentorship, Co-Working space, GST exemption and other discounted services. 

As a mentor-driven incubator, Amrita TBI has more than 35 key mentors from India, Silicon Valley and Singapore and 25 partners across the globe to support startups to scale beyond boundaries.
