Mumbai, 28th February 2020: Thakur College of Science (TCS) organized its annual intercollegiate fest – Mahotsav 2020 yesterday at Zagdu Singh Charitable Trust’s (ZCT) Thakur College of Science, Thakur Complex, Kandivali East, Mumbai. Mahotsav 2020 was fun-filled with participation from various colleges in Mumbai and celebrity judges present at the event.
The fest – Mahotsav saw more than 500 students’ participation from nearly 15 colleges and footfalls of around 2000 across Mumbai. The underlying theme behind the fest was of an exciting Carnival. Mahotsav 2020 included fun activities, culture as well as technical events.
The event was inaugurated by Haytham Ebrahim A. Aly, the trainer for Airbus 320 family type training course, from Egypt.
Various competitions at the event were attended and judged by well-known personalities like Akash Dadlani (Rapper and Big Boss 11 contestant), Vivek Sonawane (Mr. Universe 2019), Veda Nerurkar; (SA RE GA MA PA contestant (Marathi) & Former contestant in The Voice India), Shruti Ravi (Former contestant in The Voice India), Riya Mehendiratta; (Miss Maharashtra) and Aakash aka The Sky Brown (beatboxer).
Talking about the event, Mahotsav, Dr. Mily Jashank, Principal of Thakur College of Science, applauded the organizational abilities of the college and the flawless execution behind it. She said, “I am thrilled to watch such talented students perform every year and it leaves me in awe. We have tried to create and nurture this platform to give such talented kids a chance to showcase their passion and art. It is always our pleasure to host such fests and give students a chance to enjoy leaving the pressure aside for some time. A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. TCS has held strong on all three counts.”
Various competitions were held, such as BeatBoxing, Dancing, Singing, PUB-G, Counter Strike-1.6, Blind Code, etc. There were also fun-filled and thrilling activates for the audiences like Bungee Jumping, Trampoline, Bowling, Bull Ride, Dart and many more.
Mahotsav 2020 was held with steady support from the drooling yummy food court by McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Tandoori Chai and many others.
