National | 26th June 2020: TiE, one of the largest entrepreneurs organizations in the world has associated with FLOOR to host its popular event ‘Smashup! 2020’, online this year. FLOOR is a software solution for events created by 10 times, the world’s leading business events discovery platform.

As part of the association, ‘Smashup! 2020’ will be organized on the FLOOR, with marketing support via 10Times. Launched in April, 2020, FLOOR is an Indian product, being used by event planner globally. FLOOR aims to assist millions of live events, including but not limited to: buyer-seller meets, trade shows, conferences, seminars, summits, meetups, etc.

FLOOR, as the name implies, brings together different elements of live events to create breathing space for the participants. Unlike being stuck in hour long webinars, FLOOR opens the virtual event for side talks, meetings, networking and exploring. Is it an effective alternative to physical meetings and seminars in the wake of a global pandemic? Only time can help. However, as the global event industry fights the lockdowns, FLOOR unlocks the much-needed options for event planners to leverage their brands and monetize virtually, while waiting for physical events to return.

Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Atul Todi, CEO & Co-founder, 10Times said, “Magic happens when you meet. With physical meetings disrupted by Covid-19, we needed an urgent alternative to ensure the magic doesn’t lose its spark. As people remain confined to their homes, FLOOR brings them together, enables meetings and unlocks opportunities. For an event planner, this virtual platform enables them to easily manage, market, and monetise their events from one single platform and build powerful communities. From talkshows to tradeshows, events of all sizes have gone live on the Floor across all continents.”

FLOOR uses multiple live-conferencing formats as building blocks, and enables one-to-one, one-to-many and many-to-many interactions to build almost any type of event on a virtual ‘FLOOR’.

It comes with several essential features such as audience polls, Q&A, social forum, user matching for networking, content sharing, etc. essential to keep users engaged and host a valuable live-event. Its state-of-art virtual technology provides a safe and digital real-time correspondence between multiple parties without compromising on the privacy and ethical concerns of the end-user. FLOOR is secure and does not require any prior downloads. It can be scaled to host millions of users. Launched in April, 2020, over 50 event organisers have already used the virtual platform, and an additional 50 have signed-up for hosting events in coming months
