Kolkata | July 17, 2025 — In a major step toward reimagining urban mobility, Parkobot, the world’s first startup offering an “Airbnb for private parking,” has secured ₹2.09 crore in seed funding. The round was led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV)—one of India’s largest angel investment networks—and included participation from several high-net-worth individuals.

Parkobot’s innovative approach allows private parking space owners to monetize unused slots on an hourly basis through a smart, IoT-enabled barrier system connected to a mobile app. The funds raised will be used to scale operations, strengthen backend technology, expand into new urban markets, and diversify its product portfolio.

Currently managing over 20,000 bookings per month, Parkobot has deployed high-traffic systems across key metro locations, operating in stealth mode while quietly building traction. Powered by a fully in-house tech stack and scalable IoT devices, the startup’s platform delivers low-touch, high-efficiency automation for parking access and management.

“Urban parking is one of the biggest pain points in Indian cities,” said Mitesh Shah, Co-founder of IPV. “Parkobot’s smart systems offer real-time availability and help unlock underutilized private spaces for public benefit.”

Founder Amrit Choudhury added, “We’re solving congestion by converting idle parking spaces into accessible, revenue-generating assets. Our goal is cleaner skies, less traffic, and frictionless parking experiences.”

With a global TAM of $114 billion and Indian potential pegged at ₹9.5 billion, the smart parking market is primed for disruption. Parkobot’s proprietary Parking Management System (PMS), featuring dynamic boom barriers, pre-booking tools, and smart automation, positions it as an early mover in IoT-led parking monetization with no direct global competitor.

To date, IPV has invested over ₹800 crore across 220+ startups, continuing its streak of backing scalable tech-led innovations with high-impact potential.
