Bangalore/Kochi, October 29, 2026: Venttup, an Industries 5.0-focused engineering and manufacturing startup, has raised $3 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures.
The funding will be deployed towards:
- Expanding the engineering team
- Establishing a precision manufacturing facility
- Building rapid prototyping infrastructure
- Adopting AI-driven solutions for B2B sourcing
- Enhancing supplier intelligence
- Improving operational efficiency
The company said the funding will support its transition from engineering development and validation to scalable production across high-growth sectors including energy transition, defence, aerospace, and space.
Building an Engineering-First Manufacturing Platform
Venttup is positioning itself as an engineering-first manufacturing company that bridges the gap between product development and large-scale manufacturing.
The company helps customers move from:
- Engineering design
- Component development
- Rapid prototyping
- Testing and validation
to production-ready manufacturing through a network of manufacturing partners and in-house capabilities.
Sandeep Nair, Co-founder & CEO, Venttup, said: “India’s next phase of manufacturing growth requires strong engineering capabilities that can translate complex requirements into validated, production-ready components. At Venttup, we are building an engineering-first manufacturing company that brings together design standardisation, rapid prototyping, testing and scalable production through India’s capable MSME ecosystem.”
He added: “This funding round will help us strengthen our team, expand precision manufacturing capabilities and adopt technology to serve both emerging deep-tech companies and established OEMs. Our ambition is to build resilient supply chains for critical sectors while advancing our mission of ‘India for India, India for the World’—developing indigenous capabilities for domestic needs and making India a trusted source of high-value manufacturing for global markets.”
New Bengaluru Manufacturing Facility
As part of its next growth phase, Venttup is setting up a manufacturing facility in Bengaluru focused on rapid prototyping and precision manufacturing.
The facility will support:
- Precision machining
- Turning
- Sheet metal production
for sectors including:
- Energy transition
- Defence
- Aerospace
- Space technologies
The company believes the facility will significantly reduce the time required to move from component validation to mass manufacturing.
Investor Perspectives
Rainmatter by Zerodha
Abhinav Singh Negi, Lead – Climate and Deeptech, Rainmatter by Zerodha, said: “When we spoke to our existing portfolio companies about their execution challenges, we consistently realized how difficult it is for hardware startups to find reliable partners who can manage the transition from validation to production. At the same time, the push for indigenisation across critical sectors is unlocking a massive wave of industrial demand that simply didn’t exist before.”
He added: “Venttup is uniquely positioned to fulfill this demand by acting as a dependable operational bridge. Their approach of combining an in-house precision facility in Bengaluru with a vast, quality-checked network of local MSMEs provides immense value to the ecosystem, and we are glad to support Sandeep and his team as they build out this critical manufacturing infrastructure.”
Unicorn India Ventures
Bhaskar Majumdar, Managing Partner, Unicorn India Ventures, said: “We have been invested in Venttup since the seed round and have seen the speed at which the company is growing. This prompted us to co-lead this round with Rainmatter as we believe that as a pure play deep tech investor, we are the right partners for Venttup to help them scale.”
He further added: “Precision manufacturing as a segment is going to experience explosive growth as the deep-tech ecosystem matures. Whether the use case is defence or space, such companies would need a strong partner that can source precision equipment, speed up prototyping and provide a reliable supply chain and Venttup has already built for this and more.”
Expanding Across Four Strategic Verticals
Venttup is currently expanding across four key business verticals:
- Energy Transition & Data Centres
- Aerospace, Defence & Space Systems
- Smart Infrastructure & Future Mobility
- Electronics, Automation & Smart Manufacturing
Through these segments, the company aims to become a long-term engineering, development, and manufacturing partner for OEMs, technology firms, and deep-tech startups.
Strong Revenue Growth and Pipeline
Since raising its seed funding round in 2024, Venttup has reported significant growth:
- Revenue increased 5X to ₹10 crore in FY2025-26
- Built an opportunity pipeline of approximately ₹30 crore
- Added 15+ blue-chip companies to its customer base over the last 12 months
According to the company, demand is increasingly being driven by component localisation, supply-chain resilience, indigenous development requirements, and India’s manufacturing ambitions.
