New Delhi, October 29, 2026: Paper by Kala, a new Indian personal care and wellness brand, has announced its launch with a range of products designed to make self-care a more natural part of women’s everyday lives.

Built on the belief that women deserve time for themselves, the brand introduces a ritual-led approach to personal care, encouraging women to find moments of pause within routines they already have, rather than adding another item to increasingly busy schedules.

Reimagining Everyday Self-Care
The idea behind Paper by Kala stems from a simple observation: women often balance multiple responsibilities across work, home, family, and personal relationships, leaving little space for themselves.

While self-care has become a widely discussed topic, finding dedicated time for it remains a challenge for many women.

Paper by Kala seeks to address this gap by transforming everyday activities, particularly the daily shower, into opportunities for reflection, restoration, and reconnection.

Rather than creating elaborate routines, the brand focuses on helping women make the most of the few minutes they already have each day.

The Meaning Behind the Brand
According to the founders, the brand name reflects a philosophy that goes beyond skincare.

While paper is commonly associated with fragility, it is also highly adaptable, resilient, and capable of transforming into countless forms.

The founders drew a parallel between paper and women, who continuously adapt to changing roles, responsibilities, and expectations while carrying more than what is often visible.

This thinking forms the foundation of the brand’s philosophy:

“For Everything You Carry.”

Abhinit Gogia, Co-founder and CEO, Paper by Kala, said: “When we started thinking about Paper by Kala, one thing stood out. Women are constantly doing things for everyone around them, but rarely find the time to do something just for themselves. We didn’t want to create another elaborate self-care routine that would demand more time or effort. The idea was to make the time they already have, even if it is just seven to ten minutes in the shower, feel like their own. That is where Paper by Kala started, and that continues to guide how we are building the brand.”

Launch Collections: VOID and STILL
At launch, Paper by Kala is introducing two signature product collections:

VOID – The Ritual of Release
Designed for moments when users want to let go of the pressures and demands of the day.

STILL – The Ritual of Pause
Created around the idea of slowing down, stepping back, and finding calm amidst everyday responsibilities.

The initial portfolio includes:

  • Body washes
  • Balms
  • Complementary facial care products

The collections are designed to integrate self-care experiences into different moments throughout the day.

Ingredient-Led Product Philosophy
Paper by Kala has developed its products with a strong emphasis on:

  • Skincare ingredients
  • Product textures
  • Sensory experiences
  • Fragrance profiles

At the centre of the company’s formulation philosophy is Paper Fiber Actives™, a proprietary concept inspired by the adaptability and resilience associated with paper.

The formulations combine plant-derived ingredients and skin-conditioning components, including:

  • Niacinamide
  • Aloe Vera
  • Panthenol
  • Botanical extracts

These ingredients have been selected to support hydration, skin comfort, and overall product experience.

Focus on Product Experience
Kusum Gogia, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Paper by Kala, said: “For us, the product experience was as important as the formulation itself. We looked at how a product feels on the skin, its texture, its fragrance and the overall experience of using it. VOID and STILL have been developed for different moments and needs, but the thinking behind both remains the same. We want women to enjoy these few minutes rather than look at personal care as another task to complete. Our focus has been on bringing together ingredients and experiences that make these everyday rituals worth looking forward to.”

Building a Community Through ‘The First 100’
Alongside the brand launch, Paper by Kala is creating a community initiative called The First 100.

The programme will give a founding group of women opportunities to:

  • Access products before public launches
  • Participate in product testing
  • Provide feedback on future formulations
  • Help shape upcoming brand offerings

The company sees the initiative as an important way to build products collaboratively with its consumer community.

Looking Ahead: ALIVE
Paper by Kala is also developing its third collection, ALIVE – The Ritual of Structure, scheduled for launch in 2027.

While VOID and STILL are focused on winding down and slowing down, ALIVE is being created around:

  • Intentional beginnings
  • Morning rituals
  • Clarity and focus
  • Structured self-care practices

The collection aims to support routines that help individuals start their days with greater purpose.

Brand Vision
With its launch, Paper by Kala aims to build a personal care brand that extends beyond functional skincare and personal wellness products.

The company seeks to encourage women to take a few moments for themselves every day without feeling the need to justify that time, positioning self-care not as an occasional luxury, but as an everyday necessity.
