Bharat Digital Infra Summit 2025: Driving India’s Vision for Viksit Bharat through Next-Gen Digital Infrastructure


New Delhi, Delhi, India | 24th September 2025: The Bharat Digital Infra Summit 2025, held on September 23, 2025, brought together leading policymakers, industry pioneers, and technology experts to chart the roadmap for India’s digital future. The one-day summit served as a vital platform to accelerate the nation’s vision for Viksit Bharat by 2047, focusing on creating a robust, inclusive, and secure digital infrastructure.

The discussions emphasized the expansion of 5G and fiber networks, strengthening data centers and cloud computing, and building secure digital public infrastructure (DPI) accessible to all citizens. With these priorities, the summit underscored the importance of technology as the backbone of India’s digital economy.

  • Mr. Shashi Dharan, Managing Director, Bharat Exhibitions, stressed the need for a holistic digital backbone to bridge the urban-rural divide and ensure digital inclusion across villages and cities.
  • Brig. Anil Tandan, Director General, Broadband India Forum, highlighted that digital infrastructure is the foundation of a truly inclusive economy and essential to achieving the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
  • Shri Manish Sinha, Member (Finance), Digital Communications Commission, DoT, underlined the government’s strategy to create a future-ready ecosystem through 5G rollout, spectrum auctions, streamlined RoW rules, and India’s leadership in 6G technology by 2030.
  • Shri A. Robert J. Ravi, CMD, BSNL, emphasized last-mile connectivity through extensive fiber deployment, enabling e-governance, e-health, and e-education services even in remote areas. He also announced BSNL’s upcoming indigenous technology launch, set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

White Paper Launch – Roadmap to 2047

The summit witnessed the release of the White Paper titled “Digital Infrastructure for Viksit Bharat: A 2047 Roadmap”, authored by Shri Sundeep Kathuria, Advisor, Broadband India Forum, outlining strategies for sustainable and inclusive growth.

  • Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh, DG, Digital Infrastructure Providers Association (DIPA), emphasized the role of fiberized tower sites, smart infrastructure, and in-building solutions to support 5G, smart cities, and seamless connectivity.
  • Other eminent speakers included senior officials from DoT, BSNL, Indus Towers, HUBER+SUHNER, PwC India, and ALTIUS, who shared insights on how AI, cloud, blockchain, and quantum computing will shape India’s digital growth.
