(from eDC IIT Delhi Team) E-summit is a 3 day long annual event of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (eDC), IIT Delhi. It is a summit of the entrepreneurs, students, budding professionals, mentors, angel investors and venture capitalists. With this event, we wish to inculcate and enrich the entrepreneurial environment in India through various fun-filled yet educating sessions such as Startup Showcases, competitions, eTalks and so on and so forth.
Entrepreneurship in college has a unique flavour since it is only here one gets access to a large cheap workforce, easily available mentors and lots of new floating ideas.
eDC aims to train the young entrepreneur to observe these existent ideas and feed them with new ones via numerous competitions such as Vishisth B-Plan, Case Study competitions, Panel discussions and most importantly through Guest Lectures, where some of the most eminent entrepreneurs of the country have graced the event with their presence in the past few years and ignited young minds with some of their own accounts of their rise to fame in the entrepreneurship world.
Last year e-summit was organised from 11-13 March with a stellar list of Speakers including: Rohit Bansal(Snapdeal), Thuan Pham(Uber, CTO), Sachin Bansal(Flipkart), Deep Kalra(Makemytrip), Kunal Shah(Freecharge), Ritesh Agrawal(Oyo Rooms), Sabina Chopra(Yatra), Kiran Bedi, Jayant Sinha(Minister of State, Finance) and Mr. Amitab Kant(Niti Aayog).
Every year in Startup Showcase, students are made to experience how being a real entrepreneur feels like when one is made to present and defend proposals, pitch their ideas to Venture Capitalists, and also gain valuable advice from well-established lawyers and businessmen who are invited for the event.
Presently, we are warming up for a bigger and brighter e-Summit this year, scheduled from 17th to 19th February 2017. Help us in making it possible!
