IIT Bombay’s Technology Innovation Hub Concludes ATMAN 3.0 Accelerator, Recommends ₹6 Crore Seed Funding for HealthTech Startups


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India | 13th January 2026: The Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) at IIT Bombay, under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has successfully concluded ATMAN 3.0, its flagship eight-week accelerator programme aimed at transforming early-stage HealthTech startups into investment-ready ventures. The programme culminated in a high-impact Demo Day, bringing together investors, healthcare leaders, industry experts, and policymakers to explore some of India’s most promising healthcare innovations.

Strong National Participation and Rigorous Selection

ATMAN 3.0 witnessed robust participation from across the country, with 173 HealthTech startups pitching their ideas to TIH IIT Bombay. Following a stringent evaluation and mentoring process, 13 startups were selected for acceleration, out of which six startups emerged as winners.

On Demo Day, these startups were recommended for cumulative seed funding of ₹6 crore, with up to ₹1 crore per startup, subject to final evaluation outcomes. The funding aims to help founders scale operations, validate technology, and accelerate market entry.

The shortlisted startups and their innovations include:

  • Prezitech Health Pvt LtdPrecigo, a snap-on needle tracking system for ultrasound machines enabling real-time procedural planning and guidance for high-precision medical interventions.
  • Attox Research Laboratories Pvt LtdAMRIT, a solution addressing antimicrobial resistance.
  • Queliz Lifetech Pvt LtdUltraHand, a robotic rehabilitation device.
  • Deepfacts Private LtdproRITHM, an AI-powered remote patient monitoring platform using a compact wireless wearable to track patient vitals in real time.
  • MicroHeal – advanced healthcare solutions (details under evaluation).
  • Raycura Medical TechnologiesBETTER, a rehabilitation device for stroke and paralysis recovery.

Commenting on the programme’s success, Mr. Kiran Shesh, CEO, TIH IIT Bombay, said that ATMAN 3.0 is more than an accelerator—it is a movement to transform bold HealthTech ideas into scalable, globally competitive solutions. He emphasized that the cohort reflects India’s rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem, with a strong focus on deep-tech innovation, sustainability, and global impact.

Mr. Hardik Joshi, COO, TIH IIT Bombay, added that ATMAN 3.0 was designed to provide a holistic support framework beyond funding. From technology validation and regulatory guidance to investor readiness and industry connections, the accelerator enables startups to build strong foundations for long-term growth. The enthusiastic participation from investors at Demo Day underscored the market relevance and readiness of the graduating startups.

Keynote Highlights: The Future of Healthcare Innovation

The Demo Day featured a keynote address by Mr. Dileep Mangsuli, Chairman of Cancer Treatment Services International and Senior Vice President at Siemens Healthineers. He highlighted that the future of healthcare lies in delivering quality care at scale, with artificial intelligence playing a critical role in early screening, prevention, and decision-making.

He outlined three key pillars driving healthcare transformation:

  1. Patient twinning for personalized care pathways
  2. Precision therapy to improve clinical outcomes
  3. Intelligent use of digital data and AI for timely, informed clinical decisions

Building a Strong HealthTech Ecosystem

Beyond startup pitches, the event featured discussions on healthcare investment trends, evolving regulatory frameworks, and emerging technology models shaping the future of the sector. Portfolio startups from earlier TIH IIT Bombay programmes also engaged with investors for follow-on funding and strategic partnerships. Dedicated networking sessions enabled meaningful collaboration among founders, investors, and industry stakeholders.

Through ATMAN 3.0, TIH IIT Bombay continues to bridge the gap between research and commercialisation, reinforcing IIT Bombay’s role as a leading enabler of scalable, impact-driven healthcare innovation in India.
