PCI with the 13th edition of its annual Digital Money Conference

Mumbai | 30th November 2020: The Payments Council of India (PCI) is holding its 13th edition of the Digital Money conference on the 1st and 2nd December’ 2020. The conference will be held virtually and is planned to have more than 150 speakers and participation from over 2000 delegates in the payment space. It will have representatives from the regulators, industry members and emerging payment players.

The theme for the conference this year is ‘Ushering into a new decade – Reassess | Renovate | Reimagine | Ramp up.’ In the decade gone by, the digital payments industry evolved considerably introducing innovative products, technologies & operating models. The ongoing pandemic has also caused a step-change in the payment habits of consumers the world over. As we enter the new decade, industry needs to work upon the learnings from the decade gone by and also leverage on the resources, strengths, etc. built upon so far. After having invested considerable funds, efforts and time in the past decade in digital payments and gradually stabilizing , it is an opportune time for the industry to leverage on it all and reassess, renovate, reimagine and ramp up the way the operations are undertaken by them. This is possible only with a little introspection of the learnings of the past decade and substantial thinking on the way.

The Conference will include many speakers from the Reserve Bank of India such  as  Shri T. Rabi Sankar, Executive Director, Shri P Vasudevan, Chief General Manager, Department of Payment and Settlement Systems, Smt. Sushmita Phukan, General Manager, Financial Inclusion and Development Department. In addition to this the conference will see discussions on several critical topics capturing the industry by Mr. Prashant Kumar, MD and CEO, Yes Bank,Mr. T.R. Ramachandran, Group Country Manager -India & South Asia, Visa, Mr. Naveen Surya, Founder and Director at So Hum Bharat Digital Payments Pvt. Ltd & Chairman Fintech Convergence Council (FCC), Mr. H Srikrishnan, MD & CEO, Jio Payments Bank, Mr. Tobias Puehse, Vice President, Innovation & Customer Solutions Asia Pacific, Mastercard, Ms. Praveena Rai, COO, NPCI, and many others.
