Gurgaon, India, August 3, 2024 – People Matters TechHR India 2024, Asia’s premier HR and work tech conference, concluded its three-day event at The Leela Ambience in Gurgaon, from August 1st to 3rd. The conference served as a powerful platform for organizations to transition from “Inspiration to Action,” drawing 2,630 HR and business leaders, 100 HR tech solution providers, and 168 global speakers under one roof. The event also made waves in the digital space, generating over 63 million social media impressions.

Centered around the theme “Inspiration to Action,” this year’s conference was designed to equip organizations with the tools and insights necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving workplace landscape. As the HR industry experiences rapid growth, the event emphasized the need for businesses to foster a future-ready workforce by embracing speed, sustainability, and resilience.

“In today’s world, where traditional approaches are no longer sufficient, a new vision is required,” said Ester Martinez, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of People Matters. “We are witnessing a pivotal shift from ego-centric to eco-centric leadership, moving towards a collaborative, purpose-driven model. The conference inspired leaders to rethink roles and organizational structures, transitioning to a broader, ecosystem-focused approach.”

A key highlight of the conference was the unveiling of the exclusive research report “People Matters SHRPA 2024.” This comprehensive study, involving 1,300 survey participants and 25+ in-depth interviews with CXOs and HR leaders from India, Southeast Asia, ANZ, and the Middle East, revealed that 77% of HR leaders are ready for change and capable of adapting to business and talent disruptions. However, it also highlighted that 64% of these leaders risk missing out on HR transformation if it is not both people-centric and tech-enabled.

Another major moment was the launch of People Matters Octopus, an innovative HR technology solution developed through a unique co-creation process with industry leaders and HR professionals. This platform, designed to integrate seamlessly with existing HR systems, offers advanced analytics, intuitive user experiences, and AI-driven insights. People Matters Octopus aims to revolutionize workforce management by enhancing productivity, employee engagement, and strategic decision-making on a global scale. The beta version has been released, with the full version set to launch soon.
