A Sneak Peak of “The Economic Times Catapooolt Changemakers, Round 2″

The Economic Times Catapooolt Changemakers Season 2, round 2 got out on a high note with 32 disruptive ideas raising a total amount of INR 27,45,000 in 30 days with 1100 backers from across the world forming a steel strong backbone for these 32 innovative ideas. The competition bagged an Asian record for launching maximum crowdfunding campaigns in a single day on a crowdfunding platform. The history or title could not have made its presence without the help of 32 ideas so all campaigns were felicitated with an Asian Book of Records certificate. All 10 dedicated mentors had teams guiding on how to raise funds via crowdfunding, how to market their product, how to strategise alliance and how to channelize their product. Active facebook Live were conducted on leading key industrialists helping to learn the key hacks on crowdfunding where all 32 disruptive ideas participated actively with their questions. Every week shoutouts on individual startups and weekly winner announcement who raised the highest amount in the week were made to maintain the enthusisiam and spirit of the competition in the right direction.

The competition took itself to a different level with the active participation of the self motivated campaign owners, so first 10 Changemakers who had completed Mission75 of raising INR 75,000 on time received “Backers Directory” for future marketing endeavours. All Changemakers also received $1000 worth of hosting credits as an additional privilege. Renowned media partners like Sheroes,Cafebiz, Startup Success Stories, Bizztor, BW Disrupt and AlphaIndians graciously covered all Changemakers and there were over 70 coverages across all media platforms. After the tough strive to struggle race, top 12 changemakers embarked its direct entry to the finale by raising maximum funds, rest who raised INR 75,000 were made to pitch to a panel of investors so total 15 changemakers made its final position to the Grand finale. The top 15 startups who make it to Grand Finale were given a special F6s Alpha Card, any founders of member companies that have graduated from top accelerator programs, or have raised funding automatically qualify for Alpha membership. It was indeed an impactful journey in the whole startup ecosystem as it has paved way for many futuristic ideas which the society needs gravely.

After creating such a buzz, the grand finale is all set to hit the ground running by grabbing eye balls in the month of August at a Co Working space in Gurgaon which is a 500+ seater, India Inspired and Open Farm Style. A one hour TV Show will also be created on the Finale on Doordarshan. Grand Finale will have Top15 startup pitch to over 30 serious investors for equity investment. The event will be an Invite Only and graced by Investors, Government Dignitaries, Media, Corporate Honchos, Key Stakeholders of Startup Ecosystem, Entertainers and A Iconic Celebrity.
