Mumbai, October 6, 2026: The Foundery, a venture builder co-founded by Kishore Biyani, Nikhil Kamath, and Ronnie Screwvala, has opened applications for Cohort 2 of its 90-day residential venture build. Cohort 2 begins on January 15, 2027 at The Foundery Sanctum in Alibaug, bringing together a new group of co-founders in an intensive build environment.
Key Highlights
- Applications open for Cohort 2 of The Foundery’s 90-day residential venture build.

- Co-founders matched with opportunities from The Foundery’s Idea Vault, aligned with strengths, conviction, and category fit.
- Cohort 1 produced 18 companies in 90 days, generating ₹550 crore in investment interest and valuations of ₹1,400 crore.
- Cohort 2 raises the bar on entrepreneurial experience and operating muscle entering the program.
The Foundery Model
Unlike traditional accelerators, The Foundery does not begin with pitch competitions or require fully formed business plans. Instead, co-founders:
- Explore opportunities from the Idea Vault.
- Are matched based on experience, strengths, and conviction.
- Build from thesis to product, consumer validation, and operating business.
- Access capital, practitioners, operators, and shared infrastructure from day one.
Ronnie Screwvala, Co-founder, said: “Capital alone has never built anything that lasts. At The Foundery, the pieces are around founders from day one, helping them move faster, get to market sooner, and keep pace with how quickly the world is changing.”
Cohort 1 Success
- Produced 18 companies in 90 days.
- At The Foundery FWD in Mumbai (July 2026), companies generated ₹550 crore in investment interest with valuations of ₹1,400 crore.
- Founders engaged with leading entrepreneurs, investors, and cultural voices including Santosh Desai, Rajan Anandan, Prasoon Joshi, Harsh Mariwala, Falguni Nayar, Ranveer Singh, Rana Daggubati, Jonty Rhodes, Diipa Khosla, and Anil Agarwal.
- Cohort 1 companies are now preparing for market launches through late 2026.
Kishore Biyani, Co-founder, said: “India is changing fast, and so is its consumer. The next generation of entrepreneurs will need to build for where India is going, not where it has been.”
Nikhil Kamath, Co-founder, added: “Foundery is a small attempt at building an ecosystem for consumer brands in India. In 10 years, we aim to create 200 Indian brands with global potential.”
