Bengaluru, October 29, 2026: Axiro Semiconductor Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, has announced a strategic investment in ThinSiC Inc., a Silicon Valley-based semiconductor company developing next-generation low-cost silicon carbide (SiC) power devices.
As part of the transaction, Axiro joins ThinSiC as the Lead Investor in its latest financing round and has entered into a long-term commercial partnership to support the development and commercialization of ThinSiC’s silicon carbide power device technology.
Expanding into the Future of Power Electronics
The investment marks an important step in Axiro Semiconductor’s strategy to build a broad, high-performance semiconductor portfolio.
While the company’s core focus remains on:
- RF semiconductors
- mmWave technologies
- Advanced connectivity solutions
the partnership expands Axiro’s footprint into power electronics, where silicon carbide is gaining traction as a high-performance alternative to conventional silicon.
Silicon carbide semiconductors are increasingly being adopted across applications such as:
- Rail traction systems
- Industrial drives
- Grid infrastructure
- Electrification platforms
- High-voltage power systems
Leveraging CG Power’s Industrial Ecosystem
Through CG Power’s established presence in India’s power transmission and industrial infrastructure sectors, Axiro expects to serve as a strategic commercial channel for ThinSiC’s technology in India and global markets.
The partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of next-generation silicon carbide devices while helping address one of the industry’s key challenges: reducing the cost of high-voltage SiC adoption.
Dr. Naveen Yanduru, Chief Executive Officer, Axiro Semiconductor, said:“We are pleased to support ThinSiC as investor and strategic partner. This investment reflects our conviction that silicon carbide will be central to the next generation of power electronics — and that cost has been the single biggest barrier to its broader adoption.”
He added: “At Axiro, we are building deep capabilities in RF, mmWave, and advanced connectivity, while extending into power semiconductors, where we see significant opportunity through the CG Power group’s presence across India’s power transmission and industrial infrastructure. ThinSiC’s technology addresses exactly the cost and scalability challenges that have held high-voltage SiC back. We look forward to working closely with the ThinSiC team to translate their innovation into commercial impact.”
ThinSiC Sees Strategic Value in the Partnership
T.S. Ravi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, ThinSiC Inc., said: “We are excited to have Axiro as an investor and partner. Their semiconductor expertise, their strategic vision for power, and their access to one of India’s leading industrial groups would help us accelerate the commercialization of our advanced SiC devices.”
Strengthening India’s Semiconductor Capabilities
The partnership reflects growing interest in advanced semiconductor technologies that can support electrification, industrial automation, renewable energy, and modern power infrastructure.
By combining ThinSiC’s innovation in silicon carbide devices with Axiro’s semiconductor expertise and CG Power’s market presence, the two companies seek to accelerate commercialization and adoption of energy-efficient power semiconductor technologies.
