What is the problem you are trying to solve? Can you share with us any insights that led you to believe that this is a big enough problem?
The problem is from both the sides – Job Seeker and Employer. In metro cities people have to spend lot of time on commutation for home to their work and back.
Jobs are available everywhere in the city, but on the other side small businesses do not have serious and affordable options for hiring. If they have some, either they are expensive or some are non professional recruitment agencies. Therefore, Worknrby address both the problems by giving Pin code based hyper local mechanism to search jobs and pay as you go basis.
What is the uniqueness about your Startup?
Worknrby has various unique features like Pin code based hyper local search algorithm, Pay as go basis pricing model, privacy of contact information of all users (This means no profile is public, you have to create your profile to see other profiles and that too will be shown if matched with information.), We share contact information of candidates and employers only when both of them agreed to. The USP we consider is User Experience. We have made it so crisp and clean that for primary internet user, it takes maximum 90 seconds to create and account and reach filtered results, where it can make decision. You can visit https://www.worknrby.com/ for more details.
What is the revenue model? Explain your thought process.
It is 100% free for Job Seekers. For Employers it is “Pay as you get” basis pricing model. Employer needs to buy a particular package (Example : 5 Match Credits for 100 INR each or 20 Match Credits for 75 INR each) to find candidates. There are two cases, match may happen. Case 1: Job Seeker will apply for a job and employer will accept it and Case 2: Employer will show interest in candidate’s profile and candidate will accept it. When it happens than only contact information of both them will be shared with each other and employer will be charged for 1 credit.
Who are the consumers that you are targeting? How is this going to affect them?
We are focusing on small businesses and mediocre salary range of job seekers. If any employer has team residing nearby, it can facilitate business in various aspects and the most important retention rate will be stronger, salary bargain would be reasonable. whereas if we can add just 1 Hour in candidate’s life by getting him/her job nearby than it is big success for everyone. People have dreams, ambitions or they want to spend time with their family, kids, on their health, but lack of time ruins it all. No one can earn time, we can only save it.
What is the big picture of your startup? Will it lead to something bigger? If so, how?
We aim to bring every small business on board with worknrby for its HR requirements. We can actually solve many serious problems like traffic and extra fuel consumption, it can help save environment. Commuting for hours brings lot of stress in individual’s life. In metro and super urban cities, it is becoming common to spend time with family and kids only on weekends. I believe if we bring these small changes in individual’s life, it will help country notably.
What is the success story of your startup in your own words?
Challenges that we usually faced are making reach to small businesses aware them that yes there is one serious and affordable solution available for their HR needs. We are driving several types of approach to make our reach to the core.
I used to have small office at my home, where I was facing lot of problem on employee retention. I needed two computer operators by that time and every month I had to replace them. After some time two brothers joined me and they worked for 3 years till their studies got completed. I realized that they reside bang opposite my house and that made them stick with me.
That was the time when I understood why it was difficult to resist employees. If our working place is nearby our home then employees will rarely leave their jobs and employer will also get better result in return.
Thanks Ashish. Best wishes.
