How Business Alumni Network came into existence?
The journey of Business Alumni Network began in 2015. Rishi, Head (Asia Pacific Operations) required a co-founder who could passionately take a plunge considering the positive risks of severe failures, and focus on possible growth and great success. Jose Abana from Spain joined in as co-founder and the overall focus raised to global approach.

Like his earlier ventures, rejection of the idea was the prime feedback received while we were initiating work on Business Alumni Network ® in 2015. But the founding members still appreciate that besides criticism, there had been some people who truly encouraged them on the idea of initiating Business Alumni Network ® and given their valuable inputs. Financial limitations and lack of large team were other challenges we faced. Apparently, slowly & gradually people liked the concept of Business Alumni Network, and encouraged them to move ahead in this direction.

Challenges & Obstacles
The first obstacle faced by Rishi and Jose while initiating Business Alumni Network was to judge between creating something completely online OR Offline OR Hybrid. Its a common perception with a ‘networking platform’ that its supposed to be an online website portal, but then there are some serious issues with them, and people could hardly make any good use of such websites. When Jose and Rishi presented the idea of Offline and Hybrid networking platform, honestly, they themselves were bit confused that are they doing the right thing. Both founders did a lot of homework, research, critical surveys, and finally decided to go Hybrid (majorly offline activities). But with time, their concepts started proving themselves, and things took positive shapes.

Other challenges includes finance and also beginning with just two people (co-founders) to roll out global operations.

Positive Outcomes
The first breakthrough of Business Alumni Network took place in July, 2015 as their first network meetup in Madrid with just 6-7 people on board. That was a moment when Jose and Rishi got at least initial confidence that we were probably on the right direction. Today the Business Alumni Network is a community of more than 25000 active members globally, and they have just started.

The founders and their team wanted to build something that could not only help people to make progress, but also create disruptive growth oriented platform on a worldwide level.

As an organization, they are a small team of consisting 15 people only, and therefore they decided to move slowly but with full efforts. They began creating Chapter Members and Channel Partners who helped them to take the venture to entirely new level. Apart from usual network meetups, workshops, talk shows, etc., their team gathered all resources whatever they have to build the extensions (separate wings) of the Business Alumni Network, as follows:

All initiatives and extensions of Business Alumni Network are fully commercial in nature, and all such activities help them to generate handsome revenues while empowering their members and clients, and help them to grow and success. Moreover, their members, audience and clients do equally support our mission, and without their sincere cooperation (in terms of capital, encouragement, and timely feedback/ suggestions) running the activities and extensions of Business Alumni Network won’t be possible at all. Since the Business Alumni Network began without much investment, they have recently achieved their breakeven. Though a bit slow in the initial year, the Business Alumni Network is witnessing a rapid growth of 150% YoY.

Rishi says that in his entrepreneurial journey so far, he learned that though earning money is the core objective of every business, but more than that the business MUST create a positive/ constructive change in the entire ecosystem.
